A friendly reminder to the tanking teams.

We are using a odds flattening lotto for the worst 10 teams. It’s posted in the rules.

Minnesota has interest in trying to find a front court partner to fit with KAT. Would prefer a 4-type but would be open to certain Centers as well. Email me!

Sadly most of us bad teams are just trying to accumulate assets as opposed to bottoming out. Us sucking is just a byproduct. Are you doing a lottery for picks 1-4 or for all picks in the 1-10 range?

I'm not a huge fan of Westbrook but they IMO are top 10 players.

Clinton Capella is on a good deal but not my type of C as well.

One probably both can be had.

Correct

A flat lotto to me still seems a bit ordinary if it’s even odds for 1-10,

Definetly would prefer a
28-30 seeds get 5 lotto ‘balls’
26-27 seeds get 4 lotto ‘balls’
23-25 seeds get 3 lotto ‘balls’
21-22 seeds get 2 lotto ‘balls’
17-20 seeds get 1 lotto ‘ball’

Therefore there is 40 lotto balls,
And the worst teams have a 12.5% chance at the first pick.
But the team who barely misses the playoffs has 2.5% chance.

Keeps it reasonably close to real NBA that way?

Not doing that. It still semi-promotes tanking which is the reason I decided to do it the way that I am. 10 worst teams are going to go in a hat. My wife’s gonna draw them out.
- First one she draws will have the 4th pick.
- Second one she draws will have the 3rd pick.
- Third one she draws will have the 2nd pick
- Fourth one she draws will have the number one overall pick.
The remaining six teams will go in order of worst to best. Therefore the worst team not selected in the drawing will get the 5th pick & so on. If we have any ties in the rankings, I will flip a coin. I don’t expect one of my teams to be in the worst 10, but if I do... I’m sure Ness will happily do the drawing for me, as his team is surely playoff bound.

Oh okay that is solid,
I was just personally concerned I would end up with the 10th pick, even though my team may be like bottom 3.
(Which as VCfor3 started would be solely because I went young, not actually purposely tried to get worse)

I just spent 10 minutes going off topic and writing a essay on tanking, and how it is generalised to much just to delete it all because this ain’t the time or place...

Celtics are looking for offers on DeRozan and LaMarcus Aldridge.
I like them both but have a younger core. Not looking for a 5:1 deal to break them down
If you want to deal - - scott.ins@aol.com

Dallas is also in play - but I do like how both teams are coming along.
Starting PGs are probably signed on for the duration - but stranger things have happened.

The booker for Beal Trade looks interesting from mt POV.

Oringally both pursued Beal and I was close to a similar offer with the suns, but opted for the hawks deal.
Suns still got their man,
And hawks are going to have a stellar games to watch for their fans, 130 offensive and defensive rating

PG: Patty Mills, Devonte Graham
SG: Dwayne Bacon, Malik Monk, Keldon Johnson
SF: Nicolas Batum, Miles Bridges, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist
PF: Marvin Williams, PJ Washington, Trey Lyles, Luka Samanic
C: Cody Zeller, Bismack Biyombo

Hornets are looking to upgrade in talent. Need significant assets if turning expirings in to long term contracts. I want to consolidate some of the younger players as well. Still open to anything cainep3@gmail.com
