There’s a 20 FGA power forward I strongly considered but I feel like, burdensome as he is, he’s a decent fit with too many first rounders to really justify using a mid pick on.

If you're talking about Fab-5, his passing and defense are definitely on the caliber of building a great team here. I like him as well.

I considered a player who's a lite version of the King pick but I think knocking out those elite/cheap PGs is nice in this game

He's too good for this game and a Snake fave so he would never put him in this convo. I think he meant a white guy who dunks well.

I swear to god if the guy I'm thinking of doesn't get picked. He had one helluva offensive season, but one of the worst defensive seasons in history I believe.

Neither.

Though the guy you’re thinking of was considered too.

I think it's still a pretty good season.

Prime DMC isn't that bad, right? Solid defender, great size, good scorer and poor turnover economy. His turnover economy should be marginalized with a strong ball handler...or I can go team headcase.

Not sure about solid defender. 20 FGA+ for low post ok defending centre could be annoying. I have seen him win a game though

Once upon a time I believe I won a game with Tiny Archibald and DeMarcus Cousins, among others...

Yeah I’d say he caps your defensive potential.

That and the fact that he’s 20 FGA at a position where you could get better value for 7 FGA.

It’s not just the cost of the player- it’s the cost of the player relative to what you’d normally pay at that position.

He was definitely a solid defender. I don't think you can get both 1.5 steals, 1.7 blocks [per game] and the Kings were 4.3 pp100 better defensively with cousins than without him.

This isn't a situation like DD where he was routinely a negative on/off--DMC legitimately had positive impact and proved that with his pairing of actual talent in AD.

I believe Laimbeer won with Amare Cousins frontcourt somehow. I think it was a game with players who won 3 games or less or something.

Not a bad two way center. I think you did pretty well considering the crap that's been given out.
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy
