I mean, yeah, it was semi-competitive vs the eventual winner of that game, but still.

Ha, I've been playing catch up since the Nash pick. There were probably a half dozen guys or more I'd have taken if my head wasn't in my rear end. Then the Bucks guys were close enough to the others left, so I went for fit. But talent wise I'm afraid this doesn't stack up.
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

If you didn't take Nash, I would have. I think that version of Nash would have paired pretty nicely with my version of Wade

Snakebites wrote:What are folks thoughts on Jimmy Butler seasons for the 2010s?

16-17- His best statistical season by conventional stats for his entire career, though slightly outdone in some advanced metrics by a couple of his Miami years (not available in this game). Higher cost at 16.5 FGA.

17-18- Undeniable impact- All NBA 2nd, helped elevate a lottery Wolves team to the third seed before getting hurt late in the season. Slightly cheaper at 15.6 FGA

18-19- Smaller offensive role playing with Embiid/Simmons, but still the same skill set at a lower cost of 13.9 FGA.

Not particularly strapped for FGA most likely, given Dirk, Lowry, and Marc all have very FGA-efficient prime seasons.

Folks who don't think that the league is getting more talented as time goes on, just look at the depth of this decade relative to the 00s.

Hypothetically speaking, how would rookie Luka have been viewed here?

Considered doing something really creative, but Oladipo gave me the option to keep things more conventional so I opted for that.

I think he might be hyped more than Dipo, similarly to the way Durant was able to get MadNess far in the 00s draft. But I think Dipo is of course better, I'd take him too. No way to actually find out than trying.
