Re: **Official Gm a Team trades/transactions Thread**
The Dallas Mavericks and Charlotte Bobcats have agreed to a trade.
Dallas sends:
Joe Alexander- $2,583,360
#60 pick
DET 2010 2nd
Charlote sends:
Courtney Lee- $1,264,440
Rights to Nikola Pekovic
Charlotte is under the cap, so salary works.
Dallas accepts. We're impressed with Courtney Lee's play of late and while we are confident of Alexander's potential, we feel we have enough "athletes" atm. Pekovic also adds to our overseas assets.

Charlotte accepts. We like Lee, but we couldn't pass up on Alexander's huge potential upside.

Re: **Official Gm a Team trades/transactions Thread**
The Bobcats and Grizzlies have agreed on a minor trade:
Grizzlies trade/Bobcats receive:
G/F Damien Wilkins $3,300,000
PF Malik Allen $1,300,000
Bobcats trade/Grizzlies receive:
PF/C Tony Battie $6,292,000
The Grizzlies are pretty much doing this under the premise of sending out two expiring contracts of players that play positions that are already pretty well filled, for an expiring that plays a position of more need. The extra salary we take on this year is no big deal, and the trade does not really affect our future plans.
EDIT: we have the cap space for this trade to go through.

Bobcats accept, we have our front court set and Battie wasn't part of it; and this way we save over a million dollars next year.

Re: **Official Gm a Team trades/transactions Thread**
The Magic will send
Rashard Lewis 18,876,000
Antonio Mcdyess 6,813,050
2009 2nd round pick
Total:25,689,050
The Rockets will send
Dirk Nowitzki 19,795,714
Joey Dorsey - 881,000
Total x 1.25 +100,000 = 25,945,892 > 25,689,050
The Magic are excited to add someone of Dirks caliber to our team. While we'll miss Rashard Lewis and the experienced vet presence of Mcdyess, we feel Dirk is the perfect compliment to Dwight. We wish Rashard Lewis, Antonio Mcdyess all the best in Houston.

The Grizzlies and Pacers have agreed to a minor deal:
Pacers send/Grizzlies receive:
Travis Diener $1,740,000
Grizzlies send/Pacers receive:
Francisco Elson $1,700,000
For the Grizzlies this is another one of those trades where we swap the expiring of a player at a filled position, for the expiring of a player who has a legitimate shot at being useful for us this year. I already have Haddadi, Monroe, Gasol, Mahimni and Battie who can play center for me, and in contrast I only have Sessions and Lowry at point gaurd with no other player who can easily step in if one of them is injured.

The Pacers accept, with Duhon and Lawson, plus Crawford being able to run the point, we didn't need Diener, and with Rasho's contract expiring, we needed another big man.

Re: **Official Gm a Team trades/transactions Thread**
Mavericks trade this pick on the clock (MIA 09 2nd) to Charlotte for DET 2010 2nd. We're stacked and don't have the roster space for a pick atm.

Charlotte accepts, it's nice to add something that I can use this year.

Charlotte trades recently acquired #54 overall, 2010 Houston 2nd rounder to OKC for Kyle Weaver (870,968). And Charlotte has the cap space to take on Weaver's salary
Charlotte accepts since SG is our weakest position and Weaver will provide better depth than anyone else currently available.

Thunder Agree. I need the roster spot cause I will draft a Euro and stash him overseas

Detroit will not pick up the options on Rodney Carney or Mikki Moore.
Al Harrington has informed us of his decision not to pick up his option and will become a free agent.
Harrington was upset with the being put on the inactive list after being traded to Detroit and would like to go to a team that will play him. The forward was averaging 20/7 before the trade and would like to get his career back on track.

You don't really get a choice for player options.

I just read that thread. I posted there that Al wants out since Detroit screwed him out of PT by sticking him on the inactive list for the whole season. We will do so again if the bastard wants to come back.

<<< You're staring at him.

Kidding! since it appears you haven't been around, dcash has stopped being commish (look back a few pages on the discussion forum, so skorf and i are running the Free Agency period, then setting up a judging system (i believe it has already been discussed a long time ago) so we can finish this game.

I have been around, I just missed that. I just sent dcash a veto request a few days ago and he replied back. Strange.
