Golden State exercises options on Oleksiy Pecherov and Michael Beasley
EDIT: with the deal a no go at least for now, also on Kevin Love.

Trade 1:
New Orleans sends:
PG Tony Parker, 12.6M
Golden State sends:
PG Earl Watson, 6.6M
SG Gerald Green, 2M
Difference in salaries is 4M, after the Terry deal I had about 5.2M in cap space so this deal pushes me right against the cap.
Trade 2:
New Orleans sends:
SF Andres Nocioni, 7.5M
PG Roko Ukic, 1.35M
Total: 8.85M
Golden State sends:
PF Kevin Love, 3.4M
PG Eric Maynor, 1.4M
SF Corey Brewer, 2.9M
2010 GSW 1st, unprotected
Total: 7.8M x 1.25 = 9.25M, which is greater than 8.85M so this deal works by the 125% rule.
At the end of the deals, New Orleans cuts SG Gerald Green.
Golden State accepts. It is a very painful deal to accept due to how much we give up but regardless, we feel that this is most certainly a step in the right direction. We give up SOO much in this deal. We give up 2010 cap space. We give up Kevin Love who was one of the building blocks for this team. We give up a solid PG prospect in Eric Maynor. We give up an unprotected 1st round pick, which is always risky. However, it is worth it in this case for we get Tony Parker, an all star. With Tony running the point, the message can be spread to Golden State's fans once more, "WE BELIEVE!" in the troika of Parker-Beasley-Biedrins.i
Deal on hold...

Re: New GM a Team Transactions Thread
Trade 1
Andres Nocioni 7.5
for
Corey Brewer 2.91
works due to GSW cap space and creates a 4.59m TE for NOH
Trade 2
Tony Parker 12.60
Roko Ukic 1.35
Ime Udoka (min)
for
Kevin Love 3.40
Earl Watson 6.60
Eric Maynor 1.44
Gerald Green 2.00
2010 GSW 1st
NOH Accepts. Trading Parker was a HUGE decision for us, but three primary considerations prompted the move.
1. Brandon Roy - he's an excellent player off the ball, having improved his shooting a great deal in 2009, but he's even better with the ball in his hands. Tony Parker is also a great player with the ball in his hands and has a good mid-range jumper, but we felt that he was too dependent on being the engine behind a team to mesh with Roy long term. Also, Parker will turn 29 years old and be looking for an extension after the final season of his contract in 2010/11. We are much more comfortable building around Roy, who will be 25 in 2010 and ready to enter his prime.
2. Mario Chalmers - Chalmers was a terrific fit next to Dwyane Wade in his 2009 rookie season, shooting well, finishing third in the league in steals, and registering 4.9 APG on his way the All-Rookie 2nd Team. He was the second best rookie PG behind Derrick Rose. His contract is also a bargain, he will be a great fit next to Roy, and he will build off of his 2009 success in 2010. We are also ecstatic to bring Eric Maynor in who we believe can also be a tremendous compliment to Roy as at G.
3. Money/2010 Free Agency - This move sets us up to be a major player in the 2010 free agent market even after extending Brandon Roy. The Hornets expect to be a desirable destination for the biggest names who will be looking to play on a young championship contender. A young core of Roy, Love, Chalmers, and Deng, who will all be 25 or younger, along with West and Przybilla anchoring the front will be an enticing scenario for any free agent.
We're also of the opinion that Corey Brewer has been overlooked due to injury this past year. We still love his potential as a lock down defender at the three with an improving shot. The 2010 pick doesn't hurt either.

The Celtics pick up the team option for next year on ALL of the contracts that the option pertains to (all except Flynn I believe).

Re: New GM a Team Transactions Thread
The Toronto Raptors and New York Knicks have agreed on a deal:
Toronto Raptors trade:
Carlos Delfino $3,137,337
New York Knicks trade:
Sebastian Telfair $2,500,000 x 1.25 = $3,125,000 + 100,000 = $3,225,000 > $3,137,337
Raptors agree. Telfair is a nice young PG that was much needed for this squad. I had excess wing players so Delfino was expendable.
