Not great, but Nash + Lebron = playoff team and he is in LA....though I'd tend to agree.

I would have to take a look at the other Western Conference teams but...

That team has horrible D and...

Nash will be 36 for 09/10 and turn 37 for the 10/11 season

It seems some more of the big name players have now signed extensions as well... :-?

Nash shows no sign of his age at this point, and i know u guys didnt say this is a lottery team, i admit it is not the best in the west yet but it is a playoff team, and i have left myself with enough capspace if both lebron and nash resign to surround them with great talent to win a championship, and yes LA is a great city for Lebron to stay and play the rest of his career. I see David lee becoming a 20-10 guy and becoming a player similar to bosh(plz dont laugh)...

The Mavericks consider Prince and Odom comparable players, however with the team lacking in offense and playmaking and having enough defensive strength elsewhere, we are happy to add a player of Odom's caliber and talent to the fold.

Trade approved.

The Mavericks and Clippers announce a trade

Dallas trades:
Udonis Haslem ($7,100,000)
Jerome James ($6,600,000)
2012 2nd round pick

LA trades:
Al Harrington ($10,000,000)

The Mavericks feel Harrington is a perfect offensive compliment spreading the floor in our frontcourt beside Odom. With those two mismatches playing at once, opposing defenses will face a constant mismatch.

The Mavericks and Timberwolves announce a trade

Dallas trades:

Stephen Curry ($1,677,840)

Minnesota trades:

Gerald Henderson ($1,514,280)

The Mavs were high on Curry, but equally high on Henderson, who fits better complimenting their lineup as George Hill and Beno Udrih were already taking all the PG minutes. With Henderson, the Mavs hope to have their long time starting SG

Minnesota agrees, we were really high on Henderson but are very impressed with Curry's workouts and his skill set. He will be a perfect 6th man (Jason Terryish as both a PG and SG). We now believe we can change for a playoff spot this year before we add our big time FA after the season

Cleveland waives Tarence Kinsey.

Cleveland trades Mike James (6,466,000) to Washington for Jason Maxiel (5,000,000) and Brent Barry (2,062,800)

Cleveland accepts. This better balances out my roster, as it moves Eddy Curry out of my rotation.

6,466,000 x 1.25 = 8,082,500 > 7,062,800

Washington accepts. We hate getting rid of Maxiell, but I wanted his salary off the books. Barry was going to be waived anyways.

The Lakers and Bobcats have agreed to the following

Lakers send

Jermaine Oneal 23,000,000
Nate Robinson - 5,000,000
NY's 2010 2nd round pick
LA's 2011 1st round pick

Total: 27,000,000

Bobcats send

Shaquille O Neal - 21,000,000
Josh Mcroberts - 1,000,000
2011 2nd round pick

Total: 22,000,000 x 1.25 =27,500,000 > 27,000,000

Shaq wasn't going to stay with us, so we needed to cash out quickly. We get a PF-C in JO, reserve scoring in robinson and picks.

I can see that team making the playoffs but ...

LeBron knows Shaq/Nash are the past and Dwight is now and the future.

You know he is eyeing Orlando and all their capspace, the epic pairing of him and Dwight to form the ultimate dynamic duo, and the young perfectly picked role players to boot. He is thinking build a dynasty to rival the best ever.

The Houston Rockets would like to announce a trade with the Charlotte Bobcats:

Josh Smith
Von Wafer

for

Rodney Stuckey
Leon Powe
Rafer Alston
2011 1st round pick (Lakers)

Stuckey is a good young PG and Smith's attitude problems have no place in the Rockets organization, and the Rockets get another pick as its second generational insurance. Losing the newly-signed Wafer sucks too, but Powe's hustle will make up for it.

Denver and Washington have agreed to a trade--

Nuggets trade/Wizards receive:
Nothing

Wizards trade/Nuggets receive:
Anthony Johnson $2,062,800

Nuggets use $2,110,927 TE (Tyrus Thomas)

Johnson is one of the best third string point guards in the game. He has championship experience and will be another leader in the locker room. I know that he makes our lux-tax situation a bit worse but I think having another point guard is going to hive us more flexibility going forward.

It's been a ridiculously hard journey, but I am at the roster limit without waiving guys. I accept the deal, because I don't think AJ deserves to be waived. He'll fill a valuable role on a winning franchise, and although his leadership would have been nice, there just isn't any room for him.

 I see you point but outside of Dwight who is your next best player? Murphy? Morrow? Your "young guys" are going to need time to develop and you have no bench. If he does leave LA wouldn't it be to a team that could win a title with him right away? Just saying.
