odd this trade looks legit to me

Knicks trade 3 pretty young prospects with good potential (ones already been an all-star) for a solid big on an overpriced contract and a young PG with great potential

^Derrick Rose is more than a "young PG with great potential." Jameer Nelson is 27 (28 in February) so it's not like he's a prospect.

Also Nelson and Blatche expire after 1 year. So 2 1 Year rentals who are due for big raises + good but not great young player in Lee is not worth Rose/

I think Rose gets overated and ok Jameer is not a prospect hes just entering his prime but hes a much better win now PG than Rose

clearly Memphis is looking to improve their team this year and is probably willing re-sign Jameer and Blatche at higher salary's after the season is up

But that negates his point in dumping Varejao when he has to pay a boat load of money to re-sign 2 above average players not superstar potential like Rose.

paying Jameer 10 million a year>>>>>>>>> the Flopper at 8 million a year

also youre getting a big one year discount on both players this year

The trade is close enough to even that I will approve it.

Rose obviously has more potential than Jameer due to age but hasn't been very impressive so far this season. Jameer also has not been very impressive so far this season. Both are producing at similar rates.

Blatche OTOH has been impressive so far this season and Andy is average/overpaid

Lee has been meh so far but is a decent add in none the less.

As for future salaries... not going to worry what they may be as a lot can change in the blink of an eye.

IMO this deal makes Memphis slightly better and NYC slightly worse so...

Jameer is signed for 3 more season so he is no 1 year rental. not sure what the big problem is with the deal, I think it makes each team worse (Rose is better for memphis team) and Jameer is better fit with Lebron in my opinion, but if the 2 teams like it, that is up to them

I really don't see the problem

but calling Rose a "young PG with great potential "is a rediculous statement

and calling an All Star 28 year old in the prime of his career a "pretty good prospect with potential" is equally as rediculous

^^How ridiculous is spelling "ridiculous" with an "e"?

I'm sorry, I actually agree with you on both accounts. Just messin'

Ohklahoma City waives Deron Washington.

Dallas and Oklahoma City have agreed to a trade:

Dallas sends:

Wilson Chandler- $2,130,482
Keyon Dooling- $3,828,000
Nazr Mohammed- $6,883,800
2015 ORL 2nd
2016 MEM 2nd

Total- $12,842,282

Oklahoma sends:

Tayshaun Prince- $11,147,760
DaJuan Summers- $762,195
Rights to Damion Jones

Total- $11,909,955

Maths works obviously.

Oklahoma accepts. We wanted to cash in on Prince for a younger SF with some quality game, and like what Chandler can bring to the table.

Orlando and Portland have agreed to a trade

Orlando will send Kris Humphries ($3,200,000) to Portland for 2011 LAL 2nd round pick

We are very high on Kris and wish him well in Portland. With the addition Of D.West which moved Murphy to the bench, and the others on the roster that log NBA minutes at the 4. The minutes just won't be there. This was strictly a financial move which will save $6.4 mil since we are over the lux tax. Good luck Big Kris

We accept. Free agency has hurt our team depth. Humphries should provide some flexibility at each forward position.

Milwaukee and Memphis have agreed to a pretty large deal:

Andray Blatche-$3,000,000
Courtney Lee-$1,264,440
David Andersen-$2,314,815

for

Andrew Bogut-$10,000,000
Jodie Meeks-$762,195

I have been waiting for a time to trade Bogut, and here it finally is. Thrusting Blacthe into a position he's never been in hopefully he responds. Lee fits the defensive theme I'm building.
