Starters
C: Elden Campbell
PF: Karl Malone
F: Detlef Schrempf
GF: Stacy Augmon
G: Dana Barros

Bench
FC: Dale Davis
GF: Kendall Gill
G: Mahmoud Abdul Rauf
GF: Jalen Rose
FC: Mark West

The construction of my team starts with our big three. If Karl Malone is the center or heart of my squad, Barros and Schrempf are the arteries. Our big three all have a PER of over 20 while Schrempf/Barros/Malone had elite TS% of .641/.632/.590.

Malone finished with the 2nd most 1st place MVP votes in '95. Dana Barros was second to David Robinson in offensive win shares while Schrempf was fourth. Malone, Schrempf, and Barros finished 4/5/6 in total win shares. Schrempf posted the 10th best all-time ORTG at a ridiculous 127 while Barros was at 123. Barros and Schrempf are two guys who simply make an offense go. Barros ORTG was a full 20 points higher than his team average. The Sixers were incomparably better with him on the floor.

Malone is flanked by two lethal, efficient scorers and playmakers. We feel very comfortable with the ball in either of their hands. Malone and Stockton formed the best pick and roll duo ever. We feel confident in our ability to run a two man game with a combination of Barros/Schrempf/Malone.

Expect a lot of ball movement among our primary players. Our big three are all very good positional passers and our guards/forwards off the bench, Gill/Abdul-Rauf/Rose are good passers as well.

Spacing will not be an issue for us. Augmon is our only wing with questionable range, but he is very good at attacking the basket, finishing strong, and has a functional mid-range shot. Barros and Schrempf, two of our three volume scorers, shot .464 and .512 from three respectively.

Rebounding will not be an issue either because most of our players are good rebounders for their position. Malone and Davis are both very good rebounders who will obviously see a lot of time.

We also like our balance defensively. Rose and Abdul-Rauf are weaker defenders, but we didn't pick either of them to play major minutes or for their defense. Barros can apply good on-ball pressure at PG while Augmon is an elite defender who can cover both guard spots and small forwards. Gill is a notable defender and Schrempf is pretty good as well. Inside, Malone is a very good man defender who will have no problems on that end. This is a season where Campbell was really improving on both ends of the floor. Both is offensive and defensive improvements were notable. He later went on to defend Shaquille O'Neal very well in two consecutive playoff series wins. Dale Davis is our best defensive big man, finishing eighth in defensive rating and 13th in defensive win shares. Both his man and help defense are very good, but his real specialty was playing really tough man defense on the opponent's best big man. Overall, we will have very strong individual defense and we feel that we can play almost anybody straight up. Augmon and Davis give us the luxury of assigning one defensive specialist of our opponent's best G/F and F/C.

In summary, we will certainly have a very efficient offense with scoring threats all over the floor. Our ball movement, shooting, and high BBIQ from our primary playmakers ensures this. While we feel that we can take advantage of any opponent on offense, we also like our ability to play very good individual defense at any position and rebound competitively against any opponent. This team was constructed around Karl Malone to have impeccable balance and chemistry and we believe we have accomplished that.

the Libertarians

PG: Jeff Hornacek 16.5p, 2.6r, 4.3a
Special notes: Hornacek will be our secondary ballhandler. When he wasn't playing with one of the best distributors of all time, he never averaged less than 5apg save his rookie season. He was also a good defender and did a good job creating turnovers. His TS was in the top 10 this year at a ridiculous 62%. Fun fact: his assist percentage was STILL over 20% despite playing with Stockton.

SG: Jim Jackson 25.9p, 5.1r, 3.7a
Special Notes: Jackson could flat out score the ball. This was also his best season in terms of efficiency at a healthy 55%. Being away from that really odd Mavericks team should even do him some good. He's another very aware passer as well as being a pretty decent rebounder.

SF: Scottie Pippen 21.4p, 8.1r, 5.2r, 2.9s, 1.1b
Special Notes: There's a lot to say about Scottie. Mainly cause he could do just about anything. He made a living out of eating your lunch defensively and offensively. This season he was All NBA first, All Def 1st, Top 10 in MVP voting, top 5 in DPOY voting, first in steals, and top 10 in seemingly everything else. He'll be one of the primary ballhandlers for this team and continue to do it all.
PF: Dino Radja 17.2p, 8.7r, 1.7a, .9s, 1.3b
Special notes: Radja's short career in the NBA was impressive. He paved the way for the Euro-immigration we see nowadays with his superb rebounding, good scoring and defense and terrific touch around the basket.
C: Vlade Divac 16.0p, 10.4r, 4.1a, 1.4s, 2.4b
Special notes: Divacs is a terrific help defender, a very good man defender, a GOAT candidate for passing from the C position, a great rebounder and a good scorer. In short, he's our rock down low.

PJ Brown 8.1p, 6.1r, 1.7a, .9s 1.7b

Avery Johnson 13.4p, 2.5r, 8.2a, 1.4s

Wesley Person 10.4, 2.6, 1.3, 43% 3pt

Will Perdue 8p, 6.7r, 1.2a

Better nip this in the bud before someone includes Barros in a writeup against War:

Strickland is his pg, Barros is on Sabas's team.
