Re: GM A TEAM 2010/11 - Trades Topic - (Starts Thursday 7pm EST)
Same Trade as before. Just posting it again under the new trade post. Again, i work wednesday night and thursday night. So im just getting it to not hold the game up and i dont want to redo my damn roster again!
OKC outgoing / LAC incomming:
Russell Westbrook $4,017,720
James Harden $4,304,520
Nenard Kristic $5,543,116
Nick Collison $6,750,000
Totals: $ 20,615,356
LAC outgoing / OKC incomming:
Baron Davis $13,000,000
Chris Kaman $11,300,000
8th overall pick, unless something changes with draft.
Totals : $24,300,000
Deal works with 125% rule, and works due to OKC being under the cap.
(same deal just no novak.)
I accept. You have to look at the deal like this: Kaman for Westbrook, Harden for the 8th pick, and BD for Collison/Kristic. First I'd like to say Centers are hard to come by. 2nd I'd like to say that i hate Harden. We get our new franchise center for our franchise PG. We hated seeing the Lakers drill us in the post during our first playoff series. We feel that Kaman along with the 8th pick makes us better overall. We only give up 2 assests, to get 2 assets, and still get our big. Other deals we pursued, involved giving up alot more for a big. Sure Baron Davis is on a big deal, but hes still a top 10-12 PG. Overall, we like this deal and thats all that matter.

Confirmed. Like we said before we want to build around Westbrook, and we like Odom and Harden as trade assets.

Guys, I did say wait until Thursday; however unless others disagree I don't see a problem with pre-arranged deals being posted here.
However, please note no trades posted here will be approved until 24 hours after trading has officially begun; so your trades will not be approved until 7pm EST on Friday.
Please don't make any follow up moves based on these trades; as you don't even know if they will all be approved yet!

Miami gives: Michael Beasley, James Jones, #18, #48
Miami gets: Jameer Nelson, Yi Jianlian, #29, #31
Miami is far enough under the cap for this to work.
New Jersey gives: Devin Harris, Yi Jianlian, #31
New Jersey gets: Michael Beasley, #18, #48
New Jersey is sending out more salary than it is taking in.
Orlando gives: Dwight Howard, Jameer Nelson, Mickael Pietrus, Brandon Bass, #29
Orlando gets: Devin Harris, James Jones, Brandon Roy, Rudy Fernandez, Greg Oden, Joel Przybilla
Orlando is sending out $34.04718 million and taking in $42.564004 million.
(34.04718 x 1.25) + .1 = 42.658975 > 42.564004
Portland gives: Brandon Roy, Rudy Fernandez, Greg Oden, Joel Przybilla
Portland gets: Dwight Howard, Mickael Pietrus, Brandon Bass
Portland is sending out more salary than it is taking in.
Miami accepts. We like Beasley and wish him well but ultimately prefer Jameer for a win-now team (which we intend to build). Nelson is basically a perfect fit next to Wade.
P.S. Booz, I know you wanted Bayless over Rudy. The reason we changed it was because it didn't work financially with Bayless (as you can see, it just barely works!).

I accept.
Just like I said, I get Oden - who has great potential, Roy - a stud, Harris, who I prefer over Nelson (too short) and get some pieces like Rudy and Pryz .

The Lakers, Boston and Clippers have agreed to a 3 way deal.
Lakers outgoing
P.Gasol $17,823,000
2010 lakers 2nd
2010 Memphis 2nd
Totals: $17,823,000 x 1.25 + 100= $22,378,750
Lakers incoming

D.J. White $1,108,680

Lakers do this deal because we don’t see rebuilding as an option and already agreed to send Gasol to OKC for the package he is giving up, so basically we then moved Green and the graet pick to Boston to replace Gasol with KG, getting Boston to add a 1st. So for LA we trade Gasol and 2 2nd rounders and get back KG, Maynor (nice PG prospect), White (another BIG body) and 2 later 1st rounders

Boston agrees, we think we are getting too old and want to go younger. KG will be missed, but we love the financial savings this deal does for us. We land a combo Forward in J.Green that we are really high on and move up 11 slots in the draft. We are thrilled to get back the player we traded to get the BIG 3 and plan to retool this franchise again.
This deal creates a HUGE $14,376,056 TPE for Boston
*NOTE: I do not plan on making deals between my 2 franchises, but though this was a win win for both franchise (and talked to a few GM's and they agreed). After agreeing to trade Gasol to OKC I realized that rebuilding the Lakers was not going to happen since getting fair value for Kobe was almost impossible to do so I decided to try to continue to win (but still want to have a lower payroll) so swapping Gasol for KG and nice fillers seemed logical but ness wouldn't take the deal for KG so I did this to keep my word with him. I honestly think the parts involving my 2 teams after agreeing with the deal with OKC
KG, #19 for JGreen, #8 is a pretty fair deal considering contracts

Accepted. We feel that a big man rotation with Gasol / Kaman / Ibaka is the now the best in the league. Sure we gave up ALOT but we get one of the best bigs in the World. Jeff Green was crucial in helping rebuild this franchise, but we want to compete with the best of the best. The 8th overall pick we never wanted anyways as we hate the draft. Now Baron / Ibaka / 26th pick are on the block for an upgrade at the 1 or 2. Good dealing Sam Bone.

Orlando accepts. People are probably wondering why from a financial standpoint, but this move has to do something w/ me and Cisco, we have some inside connections, and he's emerged as one of my favorite playas in the league. The Magic also wants to prioritize Marcin Gortat as the main back-up. We also have upcoming deals for the other guys in the wings so being stacked there wont be a problem and Cisco fits in nicely.

Minnesota in / Washington out: 2010 #1, Javale McGee ($1,601,040)
Washington in / Minnesota out: Rights to Ricky Rubio; Rights to Nikola Pekovic; #45
Minnesota has cap space to take on McGee's salary
Why for Washington?: Frankly, we are not convinced that Wall is the player we want to lead our franchise. While Rubio is a year away, we are willing to wait for him and feel he has the potential to be special. Pekovic gives us a bruising low post center, something McGee was not. And 45 lets us take a flier on a 2nd round prospect.

Wizards send/Pacers receive:
Gilbert Areanas $17,730,693
Pacers Send/Wizards receive:
Mike Dunleavy $10,561,984
T.J. Ford $8,500,000
17 x 1.25 = 21.25 > 19.06
Why for Washington?: We pick up two large expiring contracts for Arenas, who was the number one priority coming into the offseason. That is all. Ford will keep the PG spot warm for Rubio.

Minnesota accepts. Rubio may be as good as Wall, and Pekovic may be better than McGee, but we prefer two guys who will definitely be on our team to two who have to be lured over from Europe.

Klomp, Stern, just a heads up, I know I'm not approving trades until Friday but at the moment your Rubio/Wall trade looks highly unlikely, Ive already had 2 veto requests. Don't make any subsequent trades based on this one being approved.
There is no consolation prize. Winning is everything.

The Pacers accept. Areanas gives us a legitimate second star to go with Granger. He will fit well in a tough half-court environment. Plus, I am basically getting him for free. I know about his past problems, but he can still be a 22/3/6 kind of guy.

The Kings are under the cap.
Orlando accepts. People are probably wondering why from a financial standpoint, but this move has to do something w/ me and Cisco, we have some inside connections, and he's emerged as one of my favorite playas in the league. The Magic also wants to prioritize Marcin Gortat as the main back-up. We also have upcoming deals for the other guys in the wings so being stacked there wont be a problem and Cisco fits in nicely.
accepted, while Pryz will probably never play another NBA game in his career, taking him on for a year is not much of a burden.
