GM A Team 2010/11 - Writeups & Rankings (GM RANKINGS PG5)
Posted: Wed Jun 16, 2010 10:52 am
Writeups are due Midnight (EST), 28th June. Please keep discussions on these to the discussion topic
You have 12 days to post your writeup in this topic, so no excuses
Please ensure you follow the guidelines set out below:
Rosters & Salaries
1. Post your complete roster, with salaries from 2010/11 through to 2013/14.
2. Include total salaries for each year.
3. Include draft picks you have for each year.
4. Please ensure your rosters are up-to-date as of the time free agency closes (Midnight, 24th June)
5. Please include a depth chart
Win Now
Pull together 1-2 paragraphs as to why you feel your team is the best - or in the case where you don't feel your team is best - put a case forward as to where you think your team will finish, and your target for the 2011 season. Focus on:
1. Strengths of your team
2. How you see the team working offensively
3. How you see the team working defensively
4. Why you think you're better than your rivals
PLEASE Note: These will be ranked externally, by conference. The top 2 teams in each conference will then post detailed writups against one another. The eventual winner is declared 2011 NBA Champion.
Best Team for the Future
Pull together 1-2 paragraphs as to why you feel your team is the best team for the future. Please focus on:
1. The age of your core
2. The prospects and potential All Stars you have acquired
3. The number of draft picks you have acquired
4. The future cap flexibility your roster holds.
PLEASE NOTE: These will be ranked externally, league-wide. The winner is declared best team for the future.
Prove you did a good job
This will be the only user-voted area, and rather than being an overall ranking, it is purely to get feedback from other GM's on how good a job they feel you have done. Focus on:
1. The situation the team was in when you became GM
2. How you have improved each area, e.g. cap flexibility, reducing salary, adding youth, adding picks
Each GM will submit either a Yes or No against your team. This rating is designed to give feedback to those GM's who have taken teams in bad situations and dramatically improved them, but would still never realistically win either category.
