GUYS, keep all discussions in the "DISCISSIONS" thread. THANK YOU!

I do not believe in mid game rule changes. addict set the rules early that FA's could be traded so thats what it is. I do not like it and voiced that as well as not starting the game months before the season starts in the early stages but nobody cared then and just wanted it started. So addicts decission to allow FA's to be traded is good.

This needs to be decided on BEFORE games get rushed into starting, not half way into a game

Thanks bryant for cleaning this up!

The Houston Rockets and Nene have come to terms on an extension. Nene is thrilled to get the long term commitment from the team he didn't want to leave (5 years / $55 mil). He likes the team in Houston and didn't want to leave. The extension means that he will not excercise his ETO this season. His new contract is now

2011/2012: $11,600,000
2012/2013: $11,000,000

New Orleans Hornets are delighted to announce that Tony Parker has agreed terms on a new contract. The deal is as follows:

2011/12 - $15,000,000
2012/13 - $15,000,000
2013/14 - $15,000,000
2014/15 - $15,000,000 (ETO)
2015/16 - $15,000,000

We feel Tony has the winning experience and leadership to help deliver this franchise a championship - hopefully multiple championships - over the next few seasons.
There is no consolation prize. Winning is everything.

The Raptors have signed Aaron Brooks to an offer sheet:

5 years, $77M

Year 1: $14.5M
Year 2: $15M
Year 3: $15.5M
Year 4: $16M
Year 5: $16M

Aaron loved our up and coming future especially being the PG on a team with two dynamic wing players in Evan Turner and Perry Jones. Aaron was also the Raptors first target when the FA window opened which impressed him. Aaron was also disappointed by the Rockets offer which was nearly $30M less in total over the 5 years. Aaron would appreciate a S&T.

The Houston Rockets have 24 hours to match.

The Raptors have signed Al Horford to an offer sheet:

5 years, $84.1M (max)

Year 1: $14.5M
Year 2: $15.66M
Year 3: $16.82M
Year 4: $17.98M
Year 5: $19.14M (TO)

Al loved the core we were putting in place and the fact that he could remain at his natural PF position despite our impressive collection of young talent. Al was also disappointed by the Hawks, a team he has played with for 4 seasons, with Atlanta's offer totalling $11M less over the 5 seasons and the Hawks not bringing out the 6th year. He would appreciate a S&T.

The Atlanta Hawks have 24 hours to match.

The Denver have signed Forward Thaddeus Young to an Offer Sheet:

Year 1: 9,000,000
Year 2: 9,800,000
Year 3: 10,500,000
Year 4: 11,000,000
Year 5: 11,000,000 [PO]

Thaddeus is really upset with the 76'ers Organization due to a lack of interest. He would really like a S&T to be worked.

The 76'ers have 24 Hours to match
