READ THESE RULES!Cap is 60 mil. Hard cap is 100 mil. MLE is 5.8 mil. BAE is 2 mil.
NO TAKESIES BACKSIES ON TRADES! YOU ACCEPT, IT'S IRREVERSIBLE!
WHEN YOU POST A TRADE YOU MUST:
1. Post the trade number. This is a new rule so it makes going back to trades easier. If your trade is #1, then say trade #1. If yours is the 230th total posted trade, put #230.
2. Post the math involved. You cannot exceed 125% + $100,000 if you are over the cap.
3. Post why you are doing the trade.
IF YOU ARE THE ACCEPTING PARTY YOU MUST:
1. Quote the trade and give reasons why you accept.
For example:
Trade #XX
Memphis outgoing: Zach Randolph + MEM 2011 1st
Memphis incoming: Lebron James
17,666,666 < 14,500,000 x 1.25 + 100,000
I want to do this trade because Lebron James is a good addition to the team. I am sad to see Zach Randolph go and the 2nd rounder could've been somebody special, but we are looking to shore up the wings.
I want to do this trade because Zach Randolph is expiring and will help my capspace and because I r dum.
WHEN YOU DON'T LIKE A TRADE LIKE THE CRAP YOU SEE ABOVE AND WANT IT VETOED:
1. Click the report button on the offending trade. It's the orange exclamation point. No need to use the trade thread to comment on the trade.
That's it.
Keep your roster pages updated.

The Chicago Bulls and Boston Celtics have agreed to a trade that will break the ice for everyone.
Bulls outgoing / Celtics incomming:
Kurt Thomas $1,800,000
2012 first round draft pick
Celtics outgoing / Bulls incomming:
Shaquille O'Neal $1,352,181
Luke Harangody $473,604
2012 second round draft pick
Total: $1,825,785
Obviously the salaries work.
Why?
We feel that Shaq at 1.3 million dollars is a HUGE bargain for his production. We like what he can do backing up Noah, as well as we like Harangody's potential with some playing time eventually. Good dealing with you IndytotheWindy.

I upgraded my pick almost a year from now. Shaq, while being better than Thomas, has been injured a lot, and I need something more reliable behind Perkins.

The production dropoff isn't too bad.
I totally just ripped GarPax off.

Knicks Get
Kevin Love $3,638,280
Wesley Johnson $3,726,600
Corey Brewer $3,703,472
Jazz 2011 1st
Total: $11,066,352
Timberwolves Get
Amare Stoudemire $16,486,611
Danilo Gallinari $3,304,560
Andy Rautins $600,000
Total: $20,391,171
*Minnesota has enough cap room to take on additional salary. Creates $9,324,819 TPE for Knicks.
Accept. Swapping Gallinari for Johnson is tough, but Johnson's still a rookie and has decent potential. What sold me on the deal was getting Love for Amare. Love's the perfect player to start my rebuilding process. Averaging 21/16/3 with great shooting percentages at only 22 years old is crazy. Plus I clear a lot of cap with this deal, which will open up a lot of things for me down the line.

T-wolves accept.
Trading Love is hard with how well he's played this season but I feel Amare is a top 15 player in the league and pairing him with Rubio should be really nice next season. I capatalize on my capspace while I can, and also pick up Gallinari who I really like. He's a great shooter and has decent playmaking skills.
Beasley is OTB.

Carmelo Anthony
J.R. Smith
Chris Anderson
Renaldo Balkman
Nuggets Get:
Monta Ellis
Dan Gadzuric
Vlad Rad
Dorell Wright
Ekpe Udoh
Why for the Warriors? The team as is has proven it can not win. The ability to get Melo and add him to Lee and Curry is a nice core and is a win now team, that with the pieces I have and the pieces I am going to try and get, should be able to compete for a title.

Possibly the best value for Melo at this point. We knew he wanted to leave Denver so we obliged. Ellis is a dynamic scorer and an excellent building block. We're high on Wright and Udoh as well.

Post numbers.Ok, here's another blockbuster for y'all.
LA Lakers Trade: Pau Gasol - $17,823,000
Shannon Brown - $2,149,200
2012 LAL 1st, 2011 GS 2nd, 2011 LAL 2nd
Total Outgoing: $19,972,200 - Allowable Incoming (outgoing x 1.25 + $100k): $25,065,250
LA Lakers Receive:Chris Paul $14,940,193
Marv williams $7,262,000
Mo Evans $2,500,000
Total Incoming: $24,702,193 (the deal works for LA!)
New Orleans Hornets Trade: Chris Paul $14,940,193
New Orleans Hornets Receive:Al Horford $10,097,400 (BYC Value - taken from
http://members.cox.net/lmcoon/salarycap.htm#Q76 - 'poison pill provision'
Shannon Brown $2,149,200
2011 ATL 1st, 2012 LAL 1st, 2011 GS 2nd, 2011 LAL 2nd
Total Incoming: $12,246,600 (the deal works for NOH)
Atlanta Trades Al Horford $5,444,857
Marv Williams $7,262,000
Mo Evans $2,500,000
2011 1st
Total Outgoing = $15,206,857 - Allowable Incoming = $19,108,571
Atlanta ReceivesPau Gasol - $17,823,000
---
Why for LA? Well this was a real tough one. Looking at LA, I feel their biggest weakness is at point guard - and CP3 is the man I wanted to bring to this franchise. We give up an integral piece in Gasol (whom for the time being is replaced by Odom) and bring on board the bad contract of Marv Williams in order to make it happen. It gives up my size advantage but puts another 'face' in LA.

Confirmed. We add a top 2 big in the game, Gasol can anchor our defense and play the C spot for us.

The Chicago Bulls and Charlotte Bobcats have agreed to a nicely sized trade.
Chicago outgoing / Charlotte incomming:
- Loul Deng $11,345,000
- Omir Asik $1,721,000
- Taj Gibson $1,117,680
- James Johnson $1,713,600
- 2011 first round draft pick (Chicago)
- 2012 first round draft pick (Bobcats, returned)
- 2011 second round draft pick (Chicago)
Total: $15,897,280 x 1.25% = 100,000 = $19,971,600
Bobcats outgoing / Bulls incomming:
- Gerald Wallace $10,500,000
- Stephen Jackson $8,453,250
- Dominic McGuire $854,389 (Doesn't count against total since its a minimum)
- Sharron Collins $473,604 (Doesn't count against total since its a minimum)
Total: $18,953,250
- Salaries work.
- Trade is 4 for 4 so it works roster space wise as well.
Why for Chicago?
We really have had a man crush on Sjax since last game, and now is our chance to get him. We feel we are overpaying for this package in general, but it makes our team to good to pass up. Good dealing with you Charlotte.

Bobcats agree. Initially we were scared as hell to deal with the man who put Kobe Chauncey Timmy and... Dirky on the same court, but feel we got the better of this one as we got a very good player in Deng and a bunch of future benefits. This begins the age of blowing up the bobcats,

NOH accept, I was going to try to keep paul and build around him, but well. Hes a FA the next season after and this was a great return for him while thinking of the future. Downgrade in talent for sure but its better than getting nothing for him like Bosh and LeBron.

Pending approval of the last trade, LA and Denver have a trade to announce.
LA Lakers Trade
Andrew Bynum $13,700,000
Marvin Williams $7,262,000
Derrick Caracter $473,604
Mo Evans $2,500,000
Total Outgoing: $23,935,604 - Allowable incoming (=outgoing x1.25+$100k) = $30,019,505
Denver Trades
Nene $11,360,000
Ty lawson $1,546,560
Kenyon Martin $16,545,454
Total Outgoing = $29,452,014
- the deal works (just!)
Why for LA? I take a big risk here. Bynum is probably the 3rd best Center in the league, and Nene might well opt out and fly away... but I think Nene fits better with CP3, might be more durable, and Odom should cover the 4 rebounds per game. Add to that the depth from Lawson and K-Mart and I feel my bench production will be the best in the league.

We accept. Bynum is a top 3 Center and a great piece to build around. We're also really high on Marvin Williams even though he's underachieved thus far...

Houston Rockets Receive:
SF Trevor Ariza ($6,322,320)
PF David West ($8,287,500)
2012 1st Round Pick (via Lakers)
Outgoing: $14,609,820
New Orleans Hornets Receive:
SG Kevin Martin ($10,600,005)
PF Chuck Hayes ($1,972,500)
Outgoing: $12,572,505
Max Income: $15,815,631.25
Rockets accept
We get a legitimate 20/10 player who given the right supporting cast can very well be among the top ten power forwards in the NBA. We also get a much better depth with Trevor Ariza, and allows us the flexibility to move Shane Battier.

Houston Rockets Receive:

SG Jamal Crawford ($10,080,000)
2012 1st Round Pick
Outgoing: $11,556,840
Atlanta Hawks Receive:

SF Shane Battier ($7,354,500)
Outgoing: $9,568,980
Max Incoming: $12,061,225
Rockets accept
It's hard to part ways with Shane Battier, but given that the Rockets recently reacquired Trevor Ariza, it made Shane Battier expendable. Also, given the trade of Kevin Martin, it left a rather large hole at SG, which Jamal Crawford is more than capable of playing well at.

Confirmed. We had a hole at SF that Battier can fill nicely. His elite defense and above average 3 point shooting compliments our starting 5 nicely.

The Phoenix Suns and the New York Knicks have agreed upon a trade.
The Knicks send Wesley Johnson ($3,726,600) in exchange for Marcin Gortat ($6,322,320).

In a follow up deal, the Phoenix Suns and Philadelphia 76ers have agreed upon a trade in two parts.
The Suns send Wesley Johnson ($3,726,600), Robin Lopez ($1,867,320), and Hakim Warrick ($4,250,000) in exchange for Andre Iguodala ($12,345,250).
Suns Outgoing/Sixers Incoming: $9,843,920 X 1.25 + 100k = $12,404,900.
In part 2 contingent on part 1, the Suns will send their Earl Clark TPE ($1,898,760) in exchange for Marreese Speights ($1,773,960).
Suns accept, we like what Igoudala can bring to our team.
