All Time Losers League

Post#1 » by penbeast0 » Sat Mar 26, 2011 3:04 pm

Each person interested must put together an All-time FRANCHISE team.

(1) Each player is eligible ONLY for the franchise for which he played the most games in his career and his value will be determined ONLY by his seasons for that franchise (including aging, injuries, etc.)
(2) No player who won a championship FOR THAT TEAM is eligible (Ring Chasers who won rings with other franchises ARE eligible)

The league will only start if there are at least 8 GMs who create their teams -- first come first served for each franchise

So let me make sure I understand this correctly:

It is whichever team they played the MOST games for? In other words, they don't necessarily have to have played the MAJORITY of their games there?

Phoenix Suns. Off the top of my head, my PG rotation is good:

Nash/K Johnson
Majerle/Van Arsdale/Bell
Marion/Scott/Bell
Stoudemire/Hawkins/Ceballos
Nance/West/Stoudemire

I guess this will be my lineup. Small. Fast. Effective.

Bernard King spent more games as a Bullet than as a Knick.

Oh snap.

Didn't even bother to question my own assumption there.

Well, back to the drawing board.

Ill figure something else out.

Question:

Are we allowed to use current seasons?

Shopping for another team.

Not a Walter Davis fan?

Among others, yes.

Anyone who played more games with the Jazz than anyone else would be eligible, since that franchise has never won a championship.

No, not single season, average season during the span with team (mean, not median). So, if you pick someone who aged badly with the team (Moncrief for example), it won't be completely at his peak but will have to take into account the lesser seasons as well, but only those lesser seasons played in Milwaukee. Probably the best way to use stats is to take a mean season while with team.
