GM-A-TEAM MAY/JUNE '11 TRADES

Post#1 » by -Kees- » Tue May 17, 2011 11:04 pm

Ok this is where you post your trades.

Post which players are going where, and post their salaries. Post total for both sides and the math of it, to prove that it will work. Both sides have to accept the trade, and post that they accept it and why.

ALL trades have to follow the CBA's current rules, which are all trade's incoming salary must be no more than 125% + 100k of the outgoing. Any questions about it, go to http://members.cox.net/lmcoon/salarycap.htm or talk to me. Three way and four way trades are allowed, just make sure they stay within the rules of the CBA.

Trades will be approved apx. 24 hours after all parties have accepted.

If you believe the trade is completely one sided, then send me an email saying that you veto a certain trade. If we get enough people on one trade, I'll ask others (not part of this game) and myself will decide if it should go through or not.

This will also be the place to waive UNG contracts, accept or decline team options, and waiving cap holds.

In regards to trading options, here is what we are going to do:
-For PO's and ETO's, you can trade them at their 11/12 salary until we start FA and I decide if they will opt in or out.
-For RFA's, you can't trade them until you sign them in the offseason. If you don't want to resign them, then decline their QO.
-For UFA's, you can't trade them until you sign them in the offseason, and if you don't want to resign them, then waive their cap hold.
-For TO's and UNG contracts, once you waive them or decline their option, you can't trade them. If you accept their option or make them a guaranteed contract, then you can trade them.

Happy Trading! 8-)

GS and NJ have a trade to announce.

GS outgoing:
Andris Biedrins $9,000,000
Charlie Bell $4,099,920
Dorell Wright $3,823,000
Ekpe Udoh $3,294,960
Stephen Curry $3,117,120

NJ outgoing:
Deron Williams $16,359,805
Travis Outlaw $7,000,000

We couldn't pass up the chance to acquire a top PG in this league, and one of the most underrated franchise players in the league. DWill has great size and strength and we really like his style of play. He is a pure point who can score and make everyone better and is still very young.

NJ accepts. We have decided to go win future! We get a great return on Dwill. A franchise PG in Curry, whos stats aren't far from Dwill, Wright who is an excellent 3 pt shooter that can score for us, a great big man prospect who fits nicely with Lopez up front. We like Beans as apposed to Outlaw, as Beans can play along side Lopez and be successful.

Charlotte Bobcats Receive:
2011 2nd Round Pick (#35)

New Jersey Nets Receive:
2012 2nd Round Pick

Bobcats accept.

Add another asset to use in trades, future second round pick will hopefully be in the 50's.

NJ accepts. We think next years draft is much, much deeper than this one, and if the Cats decide to rebuild, the pick should be in the 30's.

OKC Thunder waive the unguaranteed contract of Royal Ivey.

We have not yet made a decision on whether to waive the bird rights to Nazr Mohammed or Daequan Cook.
There is no consolation prize. Winning is everything.

The Charlotte Bobcats and Minnesota Timberwolves have a trade to announce.

The Charlotte Bobcats Receive:
PG Jonny Flynn ($3,414,720)
PF Darko Milicic ($4,775,000)
Total: $8,189,720

The Minnesota Timberwolves Receive:
SG Gerald Henderson ($2,250,600)
C DeSagana Diop ($6,925,400)
2011 1st Round Pick (#19)
Total: 9,176,000

$8,189,720 x 1.25 + 100,000 = $10,337,150

Bobcats accept.

The Charlotte Bobcats finally manage to get DeSagana Diop's contract off the book, and they receive a pretty good young player whose disappointed thus far in his career. We believe that Darko Milicic can be a serviceable role player for a veteran team looking for depth in the post. It hurts losing Gerald Henderson, but I wasn't that high on him to begin with. As for the pick, it's a rather weak draft as it is and I place more value on my high second round picks even though they are almost twenty spots lower.

Portland Trail Blazers Extend the Qualifying Offer to Greg Oden $ 8.9M and Patty Mills $ 1.17M.
(Can an accepted extension to Greg be announce - after finals to be used for the 2011 salary?)

Portland waives the unguaranteed contract of Earl Barron. They will wait to determine whether they exercise their options on Andre Miller (probably) and Chris Johnson.

Portland exercises team option on Andre Miller & Chris Johnson.
