Post#1 » by Karmaloop » Sun Jun 12, 2011 8:52 pm

This thread is for discussing anything about the game. Post questions, who is on your teams trading block, or announcements. And remember, this is just a game so have fun with it!

I think having agents for FAs is a great idea. If you want another agent for Free Agency let me know. I'd be glad to do this.

I've never done a game with this exact setup. Usually just ones where you draft a team from scratch. Everything is fairly self-explanatory, but how does FA work? If I offer Oden $30/5 can someone outbid me and offer $35/5? Is it auction style? Thanks.

Yes. It hasn't in the past.

Different players might look for different things. Some player will look for money+guaranteed contract length, others might look for playing time, veterans(mostly) will want to end up with a contender.

You're going to start with the current team roster for next season. Then if you have capspace you can spend up to $60m in free agency, if not you're limited to MLE and BAE. Oden probably looking for playing time.

He already have an $8.7m QO, so don't think 6m per year for 5 years is that attractive.

What I'm really getting at is who is negotiating from the player's perspective in this?

Posters will also be serving as agents for the higher end UFA and RFA based on posted criteria stated like looking for contender or most money.

You might want to take a look at the last game free agency thread. Pretty much similar other than Tier 2 getting their own agent to decide where the players will end up at. So someone will be getting emails offer for the remaining FA and decide which are their best option.

edit: lol 2nd time i replied too slow.

You may begin trading now. Remember, rosters are due up by Wednesday unless notified otherwise. You'll be replaced if you don't have a full roster posted up, not just a reserved spot.

I've got to go work on my resume, and some Caclulus III homework. I'll leave my AIM up and that's probably the best way to contact me right now, so if you need me just shoot me a message. I'll check my e-mail from time-to-time but can't guarantee I'll get a response right away.

Anyone on my roster can be had. My Nuggets have a ton of depth and young talent, so we're pretty flexible. Shoot me an offer.

What would it take to get Paul? Not necessarily ready to accept an offer until I take a more detailed look around the league, but is there a combo of players on my roster that could get it done?

ORLANDO

Have no idea what direction I would like to go. I do no im not trading Dwight unless im blown away by a offer, so dont send garbage offers. If I do decide to trade him it will be for a young star or 2. But before that happends im listening to offers for anyone else on my roster. Hit me up with offers.

New York here. People on the block are...

Melo - for an allstar guard (IE dwill, CP3) or a package of 3-4 good players
Amar'e - prolly not moving him
Billups - a vet exp PG, if someone needs to save money, talk to me, I can add incentives.
Fields - I like him a lot, but can be moved as incentive
Turiaf - salary filler/rotational big

Looking for athletic players to fit Dantoni's system. Also need some defense.

LAC is looking for a young allstar/borderline allstar SF. Willing to include anyone not named Blake Griffin, and would prefer not to move Gordon.
