Doin' Work GM-A-Team Trades

Post#1 » by Karmaloop » Sun Jun 12, 2011 9:07 pm

Ok this is where you post your trades.

Post which players are going where, and post their salaries. Post total for both sides and the math of it, to prove that it will work. Both sides have to accept the trade, and post that they accept it and why. If the salaries are not posted, myself or Devilanche will decline them immediately. The salaries MUST be posted.

ALL trades have to follow the CBA's current rules, which are all trade's incoming salary must be no more than 125% + 100k of the outgoing. Any questions about it, go to http://members.cox.net/lmcoon/salarycap.htm or talk to me. Three way and four way trades are allowed, just make sure they stay within the rules of the CBA.

Trades will be approved apx. 24 hours after all parties have accepted.

If you believe the trade is completely one sided, then send me an email saying that you veto a certain trade. If we get enough people on one trade, I'll ask others (not part of this game) and myself will decide if it should go through or not.

This will also be the place to waive UNG contracts, accept or decline team options, and waiving cap holds.

In regards to trading options, here is what we are going to do:
-For PO's and ETO's, you can trade them at their 11/12 salary until we start FA and I decide if they will opt in or out.
-For RFA's, you can't trade them until you sign them in the offseason. If you don't want to resign them, then decline their QO.
-For UFA's, you can't trade them until you sign them in the offseason, and if you don't want to resign them, then waive their cap hold.
-For TO's and UNG contracts, once you waive them or decline their option, you can't trade them. If you accept their option or make them a guaranteed contract, then you can trade them.

Happy Trading!

SAC and NOH have a blockbuster to announce to start things off.

SAC outgoing:
Beno Udrih $6,925,400
Tyreke Evans $4,151,640
Jason Thompson $3,001,284
2012 1st (unprotected)
Total: $14,078.324

NOH outgoing:
Chris Paul $16,359,805
Emeka Okafor $12,492,500
Total: $28,852,305

SAC has the caproom to make it work.

We add a franchise player in CP3, he proved in these past playoffs how devastating he still is and I think he proved he is still the best point guard in the league. Okafor is a 10/10/2 guy on very good defense that fits nicely beside Cousins in the frontcourt.

Correct me if i'm wrong.

Sacramento
DeMarcus Cousins $3,627,720
Francisco Garcia $5,800,000
Omri Casspi $1,341,960
Total: $10.78m *1.25= 13.46m

for

Atlanta
Al Horford $12,000,000

We really like Cousins potential and Casspi is a good replacement for Marvin.

Horford is a great defender and pairing him up with Okafor gives us a formidable defensive frontcourt. He was an allstar this past season and with our backcourt set and our frontcourt looking good, all we need is a SF and depth. Good dealing!

NYK accepts. Losing Turiaf, Billups and Balkman all didn't hurt much, and although we wanted to feep Fields, he could go in a deal like this. Marvin, although overpaid, is athletic, plays good D, and is young, so I'm not complaining. Smoove is basically hand-picked for my team. He's athletic, can run the floor, blacks shots, and has long arms for gettings steals. He and Amar'e will make a great frount court. Zaza is a nice trade chip, and we don't mind spending money, cause hey, we're the Knicks :).

I love this trade for our team! We get a capable 2 guard in Tyreke Evans who can also play the 1 guard at times. He could be an all-star for many years to come! We get a good young center in Thompson who could be a 10/8/2 guy. His game fits nicely next to West. Udrih will be good for now as our starting PG. And last, but not least we get a 2012 1st rd pick! We will definitely build for the future with that!

SAC and PHI have a trade to announce.

SAC outgoing:
Emeka Okafor $12,492,500
Donte Greene $1,679,914
2011 pick (7#)
2013 1st (unprotected)
Total: $14,172,414

PHI outgoing:
Elton Brand $17,059,728
Andre Iguodala $13,531,750
Total: $30,591,478

SAC uses it's remaining caproom to make it work.

This gives us a big 3 of Paul/Iggy/Horford, all elite defenders which is a what I am trying to build this team around. Iggy is 14/6/6 on all nba defense. In fact he was probably the best perimeter defender in the league last year. He is also an elite playmaker. Brand compliments Horford who will move back to the C position. Brand had a bounce back year putting up 15/8, proving he is still a good starter in this league. Good dealing Sambone.

Philly accepts. Our #1 goal was to trade Iggy and think we got decent value here. Iggy had a great defensive seaons last year and I agree that he was the best perimeter defender (during the reg season). But his personality and unwillingness to improve his game just clashed with our organization. Him deciding to blow off exit interviews or our offseason workout last week was the final straw. We clear up alot of money and finally add a defensive anchor that we have been looking for since Moses Malone left.

NOTE: This deal also creates a TPE for the amount of Brand's contract ( $17,059,728 ) since Meka and Donte for Iggy works for salary purposes

New Orleans and Detroit agreed to a trade.
New Orleans gives: Trevor Ariza ($6,790,640), Aaron Gray ($1,091,627), and Jarrett Jack ($5,000,000)
salary coming in is 10,179,600
Detroit gives: Jason Maxiell ( $5,000,000), Austin Daye ($1,929,600), and Wes Bynum ($3,250,000)
salary coming in is 11, 882, 267

I like this trade for my team, the Hornets, because we get a good backup PF in Maxiell and a young SF who is athletic and a good back up in Bynum.

With very little assets in Detroit, we have to be crafty and make deals like this. With this deal we initiate our new team motto, "Bring the D back to Detroit." We get three defensive-minded, tough nosed guys to come in and start immediately. We couldn't be more happy with this deal.
