GM a TEAM 11/12 - SIGN UPS - only alternate spots left
GM a Team 11/12
Commish and winner of last game will get 1st dibs.
Please pick/post 3 teams you are interested in as well as contact info. I will wait til the starting date to post who has which teams so as to avoid pre-game trading. Make sure to read the rules before posting you want to play.
rocdogg05@yahoo.com - AIM is the same
RULES
1.Rosters must be completely up to date with...
a. All current players and 2 years of salaries including team salaries with and without options
b. All assets(draft picks, player rights, TPEs)
c. Complete transactions list(including the team trade was with)
IF any of these are not up to date then trades will not be approved
2. There will be unlimited trades with a penalty incurred of 1 point for each trade over 18.
3. FAs will have a 5 day hold before being tradeable
4. Must have contact info on roster page and would prefer everyone to have AIM(not mandatory)
5. Must remain active and if going away for a bit must inform the commish or risk losing team
6. IF a trade appears lopsided you can send a veto request to the commish(who will then allow a 24 hour period for trade to be improved or beaten by a competitor)). Do not abuse this or you will lose right to veto
7. 2011 cap = $60mil, lux tax = $75mil, hard cap = $100mil. 2012 cap = $62mil, lux tax = $76mil, hard cap = $100mil
Now that the rules are out of the way...
TIMELINE
Once all teams have a GM the game will start with 2011 FA and a $60mil( will jump to $62mil in 2012) cap to work with.
There will be 5 day grace period starting with/during FA after which all rosters must be within the 12-15 player limit.
After 2 Weeks of trading we will rank teams for the 2012 draft. The draft will be quick(3 days total at best) and if you are not around to make your pick and have not sent a list to the commish a pick will be made for you.
2012 FA will start immediately after the 1st round of draft and will see a 5 day grace period for roster limits. This will be followed by 1 more week of trading.
Write Ups will then be due and will be required to be completed within 2 days time from end of game.
Rankings will also get 2 days time limit after which winners will be declared.
Winners will be determined by the best overall job based on what you started with compared to how you finished. Team salary and direction you took the team will play a big role in the outcome. We will also pick the team most likely to win now and the one most likely to have the brightest future.
Good Luck and post up your 3 choices along with your contact info if you want to play.

I was under the impression that Keeslinator and a couple of other guys were commishing, not that I'm opposed to you being the GM.
I'll take the Clippers this time.

Re: GM a TEAM 11/12 - SIGN UPS
Clips are yours my man and GL following in my GM footsteps yet again as the last 2 times I played were with Miami followed by LAC.
Kees just commished last game so no need for him to get stuck doing that again so soon.
I haven't commished in awhile and was asked by a few GMs to do so and decided to take the gig. Plus it gives me a chance to see how some new rules I had in mind help or hinder the game.

Yeah I'm fine with that, but it would've been nice to post somewhere on RealGM that you were so that we knew...and I'm not so thrilled about your 15 trades rule. In a game that will last about 45 days, thats 1 trade every 3 days...this game could be realllly slow.
It might've been better to try out the limit on a shorter, normal game that usually is about a month.

So if the game is longer, limit should be bigger. About 20-25..
Like i already mentioned, i won't be able till the August to play, so i'd like to see myself on alternates list and if there is a team that's available and isn't under control anymore, i'd gladly take it at the start of August.

Re: GM a TEAM 11/12 - SIGN UPS
I am thinking of allowing more than 15 trades but with a 1 point penalty for each trade over the limit.
We will see how everyone feels about that scenario before we start the game.
Either way will make GMs more prudent in choosing their trades and not just trade every day to build up assets while being an ever spinning turnstile of players.

How will you enforce a "1 point penalty"? what does that mean?
