RGM Dynasty Keeper League Discussion

Ok, so a while back, we had a Keeper League that ran pretty successfully, IMO. Since most of us are bored with the lockout, and it being summer, I figured it'd be fun to start up another one - something slightly different than what we usually play.
The premise of this league is simple. We start out with the 1968-1969 NBA season; the first era ending in 1977-1978. You may draft any player that played in this time frame, as it would only be a one year peak. The next era would be from the 1982-1983 season up to 88-89. From there, if any of your players are still actively playing from the previous decade into any of the years in the next decade, you have the option to keep them (ex. you draft Kareem in the first era, and since he still transfers over as a very good player in the next, you'll obviously choose to keep him).
Last place finishes will receive the first pick in the next era, so you could essentially make the decision to go win now, or tank. But depending on the interest in the competition, tanking is a risky option as expansion could take place, where they'd get priority. The first draft order will be randomized, while the rest would be ranked upon finish.
There will be a total of four eras, which means four separate rounds of drafting, and team building. Essentially a series of games, rather than one real true game. But it also means, there should be a commitment to be active, and post writeups to determine the winner from each era. The eras are as follows:
1st: 68-69 to 77-78
2nd: 81-82 to 88-89
3rd: 90-91 to 97-98
4th: 99-00 to 08-09
There will be a winner in every era, and the total RGM Dynasty champ will be rewarded to the team that had the most consistent, great success. The lottery would take place for each batch of the eliminated (1-4 people who recieved no points from the round, 5-8 people who recieve 1 point for one bracket win, 9-10 final 4 losers, and the winner and runner up getting the last two picks).
Due to the last game being flooded with unfair trades, I'd think trading should be off limits. We can still discuss some of the rules. It's a little different than the last time considering the years to choose from are a little wider.
