RGM 82-89 Keeper Draft (FREE FOR ALL)
Draft Order will be ABBA. There will be no clock at the moment (for at least a day I'd think), so we give everyone ample time to know the next era is up and running. But if you are here, and are on the "clock," you are free to make your pick. Draft order was posted on the Discussion Thread last night through a randomizer, and the final two spots were given in opposite order of finish in last era.

With the #1 pick, the team that has no name now chooses:

Michael Jordan (he's in the music video).

Wow. How did I not get the first pick? lol...
Doing some light research. New stuff at work, so it may take me an hour or so.

While I've always wanted to build around Magic I think I'm going Hakeem here.

Re: RGM 82-89 Keeper League Draft (SamBone on clock)
Well I honestly am very torn here. I have been thinking about this way to long, and honestly I am still not 100% sure.
I have decided to go with the best guy for the rest of the game, and go with….

Karl Malone
The “Mailman” is just too good to pass up, I will start with 1988/1989 AS MVP and go from there. Teaming him with his brother from another mother Moses, was just too good to pass. Jack Sikma is now going to be my 3rd BIG which now gives me the best BIG rotation of the era. Plus with Karl, I now have the cornerstone of my franchise for the rest of this game.
Had really how can you argue with these guys

Re: RGM 82-89 Keeper League Draft (lukekarts on the clock)
Easy choice here.

LARRY LEGEND! We thinking pairing two of the greatest forwards of alltime is a good thing. Bird in his 85/86 season was maybe the greatest single season of all time and certainly of this era. Talking to many veteran posters Bird was very capable, comfortable even, playing PF. 26/10/7/2 was what he put up in his 3rd straight MVP season.

Ive thought long and hard about this one, and i'm pretty sure Drexler is the best player avalible. But im not picking him. I might upset some people with this, but i need to get out of mediocrity, and this will do that.
So with my pick im taking Scottie Pippen!

Kevin Johnson

Best PG left, All-NBA, top 10 in MVP Voting, 20/10, over 60% TS.
Joe Dumars

Isiah/Dumars pt.2. Elite defender - more versatility defensively and offensively than other options, can play both guard spots, and is also ridiculously clutch and efficient from the perimeter as well.

Team Snakebites is pleased to make a splash by selecting:
Sidney Moncrief!

One of the best man defenders in the history of the game, and an efficient scorer and leader of the 80s Milwaukee Bucks, who were perennial contenders and one of the underrated teams in NBA history.
