GMs should be listing all the names of players they are waiving/not picking up options on so as not to make a bunch of extra work for the commish. Doing it the way you have been will make the commish have to look up all the teams to see who you waived so he can add to FA list.

You can extend the QO and still send an offer for him in free agency (which would essentially be the same as extensions). He will either accept that offer or you will have to decide whether or not to match another offer.
