The players in the 1st list are not available to be bid on. They are either a special case player (SC) or they are better than the rest of the group, and all 5 of them will go to 2012 UFA.

The players in the 2nd list are available to be bid on. You can only sign 1 player in a 24 hour period. You also have to wait 24 hours before you get him, because someone can overbid you. Once you have top bid for 24 hours, the player is yours. The minimum bid is 1 year, vet min. The max you can offer is 4 years, with 4.5 percent raises, or 5 years, 7.5 percent for Bird players, if you hold their rights.

The vet min is $854,389, limit of 1 year for this FA. Other bids can be greater in value and length. Minimum cap hold is $490,180.

10+ years in the league: Starting at $21,000,000

Teams with Bird Rights can offer a max of 5 years, 7.5% raises

Shouldn't be a problem since his annual salary exceeds the minimum for his corresponding number of years as a veteran, and no one outbid him for a minimum deal.
