GM a Team: Twenty Twelve Edition - 2012 FA Signings

Post#1 » by -Kees- » Mon Jan 23, 2012 9:03 pm

I wanted to try this as another new thing this year. Only post signings that have been confirmed here, please don't post any questions/comments/ect. This is intended to be a place where people can show off their new players, and it also keeps things more organized. Thanks

It has been a really tough decision making process but I have come to a decision that will be of best interest to my clients.

Both teams signing Deron and Dwight have now been informed. Regrettably I've not responded to the rest of you individually, but if you don't have either an AIM or E-mail from me as of now, you will know you've not have signed either.
There is no consolation prize. Winning is everything.

The Wizards are pleased to announce the signing of Nicolas Batum to a 4-year, $64,050,000 contract.

Image

$15,000,000
$15,675,000
$16,350,000
$17,025,000

We had good long-term pieces at each position except SF, so we're ecstatic to announce the signing of the high-potential 23-year-old. Nic's a terrific athlete, defender, and 3-point shooter who has made strides the past season by doubling his FTA and improving across the board. We feel he still has a lot of room to grow, and should be a great fit with our young, improving core as well.

The Charlotte Bobcats have 48 hours to match.

Phoenix Signs OJ Mayo

Image

Phoenix is thrilled to announce the signing of OJ Mayo to a 5-year, $40.25 million dollar contract. Using OJ's bird rights, we extended him an offer with max increase and for the max amount of contract years at a salary that gave OJ long-term security and our organization the financial flexibility to continue to improve our team through free agency, now and in the future.

2012/2013 - $7,000,000
2013/2014 - $7,525,000
2014/2015 - $8,050,000
2015/2016 - $8,575,000
2016/2017 - $9,100,000
Total - $40,250,000

OJ is, in our opinion, one of the most under-utilized, most physically gifted players in the league. In short, we feel that OJ has the opportunity in Phoenix to not only become a fan favorite, but a legitimate all star.

Welcome to Phoenix OJ!

Houston rockets are pleased to announce the re-signing of Danilo Gallinari

Image

the details are as follows: $10,000,000 - $10,750,000 - $11,556,250 - $12,422,968 - $13,354,690 = 5 years / $58,083,908

After seeing the deal Batum got I figured Gallo was going to be in for the max, this deal is great value considering the spending on free agents in this game and Gallo's potential.

We are thrilled to bring back Gallo, he is a fantastic shooter, defender, and passer. This season he's really emerging on the Nuggets. Putting up a 20PER, with a 61 TS %, while raising his Assist rate and lowering his turnover rate. He will form a really nice young core with Holliday, Millsap, and LMA that will be a force for years.

The Portland Trail Blazers have offered:

Image

7'2" Center Roy Hibbert - 4 yrs / $58M - $14.5M flat each year.

Hibbert is quietly becoming a defensive anchor and has made a name for himself. With recent troubles with Oden, we have searched for another young Center so go forward with in our franchise and feel Hibbert can be that guy.

The Oklahoma City Thunder have 48 hours to match.
Dammit...:

I've got Nurkic fever now.

The Wizards are pleased to announce the signings of Kosta Koufos to a three-year, $4.5m contract, and Alonzo Gee to a three-year, $7.5m.

Image

$1,500,000
$1,500,000
$1,500,000

Koufos is a nice center prospect who's playing really well in small minutes (11mpg), at 12/13/2 per36. He's also only 22, and his deal is an absolute bargain considering his age and how productive he is, and a very low-risk high-reward one as well.

Image

$2,500,000
$2,500,000
$2,500,000

Alonzo's a great athlete and three-point shooter, and has been playing very efficiently as a sixth man for the Cavs the past season. He's only 24 and has a nice all-around game. We really like his fit as another young option off the bench.

Weren't you the one talking about being civilized, lol? You should probably put which team has 48 hours to match. You know, to be fair...
