EXEMPTION VALUES
Teams that are over the cap ($60m, but under the tax $75m)

*this can be split to sign more then 1 guy
MLE
$5,000,000

$5,675,000
Total : 4 years, $21,350,000

$3,135,000
$3,270,000
Total : 3 years, $9,405,000

$2,612,500
Total: $5,112,500
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Also note*
For any player with less than 2 years NBA experience (Jeremy Lin & Landry Fields) the "Gilbert Arenas Rule" comes into effect.
Meaning their max salaries for the first 2 years can only be MLE. Then for their 3rd seasons (and after) are eligible to receive an increase if desired.
If I'm not mistaken this is only for teams signing them to an offer sheet. Any team with their Early Bird Rights with cap space can resign said player for whatever amount as long as they have the space to do it.
also remeber that S&T contracts follow the non bird rites offers of 4 years with 4.5% raises.

JaVale McGee resigns in Denver. Denver GM asked me to post since he probably wont be around.

Terms of the deal reported as a 5 years 50 million dollar deal. 10M each season.

I know, this game is crazy with the money! Seriously, JJ Hickson signed a $5 million a year deal...but then dropped the pen when someone threw it at him.
Seriously though...wow.

Re: GMAT - 2 offseason - official free agency thread
Well, the Spurs have made a splash in free agency, albeit somewhat minor. With the news of the loss of Tim Duncan and losing the battle for Steve Nash, we feel we've gotten quite the consolation prize. Not only that, but we'll be players for Dwight/Paul, etc. and I do plan on signing both
The Spurs have officially signed Chris Kaman to a two year deal at the full BAE (edit: and since we are way under the cap, we are not using our BAE). I still can't find anywhere that says how much the BAE is, but we're assuming $2,000,000. Which means we got Kaman on a 2 year, four million dollar deal.
The Caveman now wears Spurs.

Re: GMAT - 2 offseason - official free agency thread
The Miami Heat are thrilled to sign...

Steve Nash to a three year, 15.665 million contract that breaks down as
$5,000,000
$5,225,000
$5,450,000 (PO)
This move shores up our PG position as Mario Chalmers just wasn't good enough to hold LeBron James' jockstrap. Steve Nash might already be 38, but we believe he's got another couple of years of high play before he retires. He wants to get a ring.

Grizzlies are happy to match. We really think that O.J. Mayo can be our franchise player, and with a new regime we are doing our best to put pieces alongside him that will allow him to thrive.
