We're Back!

Breaking news out of Seattle, WA is that the once lost Sonics are now back in town. They have moved in to a top tier arena down on the Waterfront in the heart of Seattle.

They will once again be known as the Seattle Sonics. The relocation and renaming fees are speculated to be around $60,000,000 while the cost of the new arena has been speculated to come in at a whopping $600,000,000. It is actually believed to have cost considerably more than that but the naming rights have made up the difference with the Sonic fast food chain gobbling them up.

This new arena will be known as...

Sonic ThunderDome

Welcome back to Seattle!

and yeah, we went THERE. :naaa:

The Denver Nuggets are officially relocating to Quebec City, Quebec, Canada to become the Quebec Kebs.

Image

Quebec city is the capital of The Quebec province and the city itself has probably the most sports fan/per citizen in the entire country. We are aproximatly 800 000 people but we are first in the country in attendance in university football (rouge et or) and junior hockey (rampart). The city is fairly close to Montreal who has a population of 3 000 000 people. The new team is going to be the Province team like the montreal canadien is for hockey right now.

We are presently building a $420,000,000 new arena (21 000 seats) and we are the hottest city for the relocation of the Phoenix coyotes in the NHL. W The relocation and renaming fees are $60 000 000.

History : Denver stole our NHL team the Nordique (denver avalanche) in 1997 soo ...

The Utah Jazz are no more, instead we are...

Image

The Utah Rocky Mountains!

It's a little repetitive from the Colorado Rockies, but we felt it was appropriate. The Jazz name was more suited to like 4-6 other cities (lol), so now they can have it if they want, and Utah gets a more appropriate name. Team officials say that the owner had a large part in designing the logo...

The Utah Rocky Mountains are charged 10M for the name change.

The Timberwolves have been associated with mediocrity for the majority of their time in Minnesota. New owner Klomp has decided to do something about that. The Timberwolves are no more. Instead, the franchise will pay homage to a former ABA franchise by changing the name of the Timberwolves to the Minnesota Muskies.
