GM a Team - Fantasy Draft SIGNUPS - REACTIVATED with update!

*****UPDATE: SIgnups are back up and we'll keep going until we have 30 (or fewer teams...the draft will be fun still bc teams will be more stacked lol). I will use EXCEL to randomly generate a draft order - I'd also appreciate input on whether we should go with ABBA-ABBA or ABBA-BAAB?

Hello, I liked RoyalWun's idea of a Fantasy Draft and got excited for it to start so I am initiating a Sign-up thread and will assign team names. I'd also like to try to be commish for this game and would like to have one helper to assist with stuff. If that's cool with you guys, I'm very organized and will make sure all GMs stay active. Trades will be automatically approved if both teams agree to it UNLESS there are at least 5 GMs who protest the trade with what I consider reasonable protest.

TIMELINE (tentative):

-Signups should be done by May 18, Friday
-Fantasy Draft order out by that night (aim for 10PM EST)
-Draft on May 19-21 starting at 1PM EST, picks will be every 5 minutes; this will include drafting 2012 rookies!!!(email me a list if you will be busy)
-Trade until June 3 under 2012-2013 salaries
-2013 Draft (June 4, only first round)
-2013 FA 1 tier a day for 4 days
-Trade under 2013-2014 salaries for 2 weeks
-Writeups around June 24

Couldn't agree more. I'd love to sign up for this after OaT is done, or at least closer to being done.

EDIT: Id also suggest doing the order differently. I would do it this way...

Assign every team a value from 0-29, then use a calculator to chose each one randomly, until you get every number (I can do this if you want). Ive played 2k11 a bit, and it seems that certain teams are always in certain places, so Im not sure that would be best.

Yeah, that doesn't leave nearly enough time for sign-ups. Plus, starting a fresh new game during the current one would certainly mean death for the current one.

We should be able to carry more than 1 game at a time on here, especially when they are so different from each other.

alas... I will not be joining any new games for awhile so will leave the time frame up to the masses.

I agree that you should probably wait until the end of own a team. I don't have a team in that, but I would a) rather not have that league killed for everyone b) have everyone active in this game.

If you want, I can generate a draft order using an excel spreadsheet really quick, if people don't trust NBA 2k11!
