Thank you for the invite! I'm in graduate school meow so I don't have the needed time during the school year to do this, but I'd love to do one this summer.

Thanks for the invites but I just cant participate in these games anymore with the way the rules are. I'm old school and cant handle stupid trades being pushed through. When vetoes come back Ill play again :P

also I am completing my masters, which takes time.

Sign up and we will have vetoes. Im all in for vetoes. If more than 3 gms veto a trade we will have a poll. How does that sound?

I personally am against vetoes. I have seen too many times in regular fantasy games where people will just veto a trade because it makes someones team better than their own even if the trade is fair for both people doing the trade. Whatever is decided is fine but I hope people would veto only if it is something truly ridiculous like LeBron for a 2019 2nd round pick.

What rules are we playing by for this by the way? Are we factoring in the leaked stuff from the new CBA? I personally would like to play as close as real CBA rules as possible so no trading back to back picks, etc. that is usually waived for GMAT.

We have to use the current CBA, the new one doesn't have enough information at this time.

As for vetoes in all for it. If the commish gets at least 5 veto requests then we make a poll that is the best way to do it.

How many sign ups do we have so far?

The problem with vetoes was that in this game there are very active people and then there are the ones that don't care or try really. There are some that will have 5 trades arranged ahead of time and with the time for approval being 24 hours back then I think the activity died. I am a slow player...basically I look through the rosters see what people are doing organize an offer....send counter offers etc...I like that aspect or style of game. I was never a big trader...making 10 trades in the 3 months we had it going was about my max. For the most part I think that style of game will not work anymore with the instant approval style that has been currently taking place.

How about once a player is traded, they cannot be traded again until a full 24hrs? The teams involved can still make trades during that period, but none involving already traded players can be involved.

I feel like it is not uncommon to have a pair of deals lined up where a player is traded for and then flipped as a part of a larger package in a follow up deal. Again, a rule like this has the potential to slow things down, which may turn people off.

I understand that, I just thought I would add a bit more realism to these games. Also, I'd like to proper adjustments made to GMAT so that vets and old heads, lol, would be more willing to return.

It could add the much needed strategy these games have lacked for years.

Sure. I am up for anything that will increase interest, especially if it brings back vets who I haven't had the pleasure of playing with.

I like that idea mate. The goal is to have a lot of offers coming in but only fair deals going through. And I would like to do the rule that back to back picks are not allowed (pick swaps allowed though).

How do you like it Mascot? Are you in?

I hope we get at least 20 people. We could do expansion teams then which could be very cool. Should expansion teams get #4 and #5 pick in draft or higher? I think the Bobcats got #4 a couple of years ago.

I'm good with following that Bobcats expansion team draft format. I also love the "no consecutive 1st rd picks can be dealt" guideline.

Let's make GMAT great again in 2017!
