New GMAT: Discussion thread

For anyone questions or just general discussion

I am doing team assignments as first come, first serve. I think this is as fair as any option. Feel free to post here and ask people if they want to swap. I personally am fine giving up Toronto or Portland. I just need 2 teams that won't have cap room next year and no major free agents.

No Contraction. Full league and following the CBA. Hopefully start middle of this week.

We have 5 teams unclaimed. If everyone takes a second team, we have enough people to start this. If not, we still need more people. I'm ok with people taking a 3rd team if they want. I will allow trading between own teams but they must get approval from me before being posted as fair. The trade sent to me must include reasoning why each team is making the trade which will be posted with the trade so full transparency. I'm open to thoughts on this though. I just lean towards allowing and trusting that people won't try to game the system

I took a third team for now. Happy to give any of them up if more people come. There are just 3 teams left. Anyone want another team to get this started? I'm not going to start until all teams claimed.

btw how do we deal with FAs that haven't been signed (RFA/UFA)?

We will start with a few days before season starts so teams can still sign free agents. I will get a Free Agent thread up at some point tonight. If people want, they can start sending me Free Agent offers at anytime. All offers should go to BdeRegt@gmail.com.

Roster threads are up. I won't get mine posted until tonight. I also will get rules/schedule thread, trades thread, free agency thread, etc. posted sometime today/tonight. Feel free to start making trade offers. Nothing can be official until I get the threads posted tonight.
