The East Coast Draft (60s to now) - Rankings/Playoffs Thread

We will be ranking the top 4 opponents. The rankings will be sent to me by PM, and the full rankings will remain anonymous until the draft is over, at which time I will reveal all. For the sake of transparency, I will send my rankings to CSF before I start tabulating the results.

Once we have all the rankings in, I will announce the top 4 who will face off in the playoffs. However, I will not reveal at that stage where each team ended up in the rankings. That will be revealed once the playoffs are over, along with the spreadsheet showing everyone's votes.

I am now accepting rankings, so please start sending those in. Deadline is Friday at 9 PM EDT. Anyone who has not submitted rankings by then will not be eligible for the playoffs.

Damn, I don't know what happened. I was convinced I sent rankings but there's nothing in my outbox/sent messages. I know I had roddy and Timmay in my rankings but I can't remember who else or in what order.

Poop was the only one who submitted after my quote bomb.

I don't want to get into the details (the idea is to hold those back until the playoffs are over) but I can say that as the rankings now stand, nobody was cost a playoff spot by failing to submit.

I have to revisit Arenas. I thought he'd be viewed as an Iverson type influence on a team but I think Fade has done well with him a couple of times now.

That seems like a generalisation based on them both being score-first combo guard types. Peak Arenas was a far more efficient scorer, and he led some very strong offenses while coexisting with other high-usage players (Jamison and Hughes/Butler). I would pick him more often if he weren't so damn expensive.

I had yours as one the best offensive teams but one of the weaker ones defensively.

Pretty sure I have the best defensive squad in this, which isn't a slouch on offense either considering I've got one of the top post scorers of all time and top 3 sg all time in their best years.

Defense is legit but I had serious concerns about the spacing in your offense. The Wallace fit was a crusher for me as it would allow teams to play off him to help on Wade's drives and double McHale. I know he had 37% 3pt that year but it was on 1.8 3PA on wide open shots, overall the bulk of his career he's a non shooter that I think would have to play PF if he was in 2017
