Love the first three picks, and while I don't personally love Marion, he gives you great flexibility going forward.

Since I LOVE Marion, I love your team. I think it depends heavily on which version of Chris Paul you use. I'd put you down as the fourth best team in the West, but I think that depends on how some of the teams I think are ahead of you fill out their rosters.

I rather like Kareem/Payton as a 1/2, its not my favorite in this game (the 2 Ks are pretty scary) but its good. Roy is a solid 3rd offensive option and so is Pau really but both are bordering on defensive laibilities so it seems like a lot of defensive pressure is being put on your best offensive weapons, which like theyre amazing defenders I know it just might be asking them to do a lot. Idk the talents there, be interestimg to see how you fill it out.

He is choosing bad years though. All-D 2nd for 3 players, DPOTY for one. He's gotta up his game and add on FGA

EWING +4
Moncrief +2

Waste to get off peak years. That will still leave 6FGA/player for the last half of his team.

If I get who I'm aiming for with pick 5 this might be the best team I've put together in one of these drafts so far.

When it comes to the other cores, I think the Nash-Leonard-Malone one is drool worthy.

Penny fell a long way. Or maybe it just seems that way since half of us weren't going to draft him...

I think the argument could be made that he has the best season for a point guard available in the East in this game, but it is hard to argue against the Eastern point guards drafted ahead of him. Kidd, Price, and Billups are no slouches.

I had two reasons for not drafting him:

1. Just had him in the upside down game

2. Not a shooter, and I really needed one of those. Same reason I strayed away from Kidd.

I have a lot of FGA to spend and not a lot of talent left to spend it on.

If anyone has suggestions for future targets, i'm all ears

Also, so far out of the East my favorite teams (not necessarily the best, just favorite...) are Wack's and Dantley's. Out of the West I really really like Dr. P's start.

Also a big fan of Jory's team. Pierce/Jordan is a beautiful thing

Really good start, Kareem/Roy is a nice pairing on offense, and Pau's facilitating out of the high post adds a lot.

I would take a lower usage Payton year, like '96 or '98. He's not gonna do alot of the facilitating out of the half court so I would go for his DPOY year.

Also I would use Pau as the backup center and draft a more mobile 4 as a backup

Paul/Klay is absolutely beautiful and Marion fits nicely with those two. I tend to be lower on Hakeem than most but with Paul he doesn't have to do everything on offense which is good.

Definitely a good start, anxious to see how you fill it out

Shaq/Davis is nice, Davis can get out of Shaq's way offensively and Davis can absolve some of Shaq's demons on the other end (PnR defense...)

Would like to see another difference maker on the perimeter.
