Draft Rules:

1. Subject to the rules to be set out below, players from the 1979-80 season to the 2016-17 season will be available to be drafted. You can draft players that came into the league before 1979 but the season you choose can't be before 1979-80.

2. You will be required to draft a total of 8 players. Each of your players must play a minimum of 8 minutes in your rotations.

3. Although we will be doing one draft board, half of the managers will be selecting Eastern Conference seasons, and the other half Western Conference seasons. (For our purposes, this refers to the conference the selected franchise is currently a part of.) We will alternate between the two, starting with the first pick. Therefore, if the person who gets the #1 pick selects LeBron James, he and all the other managers with odd-numbered picks in the first round will be locked into the Eastern Conference for the remainder of the draft. Similarly, the managers with even-numbered picks would be locked into picking Western Conference seasons.

4. Each player you select must have played at least 50% of regular season games in the season selected. They must also have played at least 50% of their games for that season for a team in the stipulated conference.

5. At the end of the draft, the managers picking from each conference will be placed in a separate eight-team playoff bracket, similar to how the actual NBA playoffs work. The eventual winners from each bracket will face off in an East vs. West championship round.

6. You must state the specific season of the player you choose to draft. You don't have to do it right away when you make your selection but you must state it on your team roster page before the playoffs begin. However, if the person with the first pick selects a player with eligible seasons in both conferences, they will need to state the conference being used in order to set up the rest of the draft.

7. Your team will be allowed a combined total of 90.0 FGA corresponding with the specific seasons indicated for each player.

8. We will be doing a modified snake draft. It will go like this: ABBABABA

9. Players will get a maximum of a 2-hour window to make their selection when they are on the clock. If you still have not chosen a player by then, you will be skipped. Also, if you know ahead of time that you won't be available to make your pick on the clock then please PM your selection to myself or another participant. NOTE: If you miss one pick and have failed to make it by the time your next pick comes around, you will be skipped.

10. The clock will be turned off between 12 midnight and 9 AM EDT.

11. Draft order will be completely randomised.

12. After you have made your draft selection, please quote and/or PM the person that goes after you so they will know that it is their turn and they are on the clock. You may not change your pick after it has been made, even if the next person in the order has not picked yet.
