The Gunners Draft (90s to now) - Draft Thread

Post#1 » by Fadeaway_J » Fri Dec 8, 2017 12:02 pm

Draft Rules:

1. Subject to the rules to be set out below, players who entered the league between the 1989-90 season to the 2016-17 season will be available to be drafted. This to ensure everyone's eligible seasons are covered under the draft timeline.

2. You will be required to draft a total of 8 players. Each of your players must play a minimum of 8 minutes in your rotations.

3. For any player you draft who made an All-Star or All-NBA team at any point in their career, you will be required to select the season in which they posted the highest FGA per game of their career (subject to the eligiblity criteria listed in Rule #4).

4. Each player you select must have played at least 50% of regular season games in the season selected. (If a player had his career high FGA per game during a season where he did not meet this criteria, you will instead select the highest FGA season which qualifies.)

5. Your team will be allowed a combined total of 90.0 FGA corresponding with the specific seasons indicated for each player.

6. We will be doing a modified snake draft. It will go like this: ABBABABA

7. Players will get a maximum of a 2-hour window to make their selection when they are on the clock. If you still have not chosen a player by then, you will be skipped. Also, if you know ahead of time that you won't be available to make your pick on the clock then please PM your selection to myself or another participant. NOTE: If you miss one pick and have failed to make it by the time your next pick comes around, you will be skipped.

8. The clock will be turned off between 12 midnight and 9 AM EDT.

9. Draft order will be completely randomised.

10. After you have made your draft selection, please quote and/or PM the person that goes after you so they will know that it is their turn and they are on the clock. You may not change your pick after it has been made, even if the next person in the order has not picked yet.

Affordable FGA and dynamic two way play at a position much thinner than normal. Give me Chris Paul.

Maybe too early, but I'm gonna go Manu Ginobili.

Per Fade's inquiry I'll step in for roddy. He's free to reclaim the team if he likes.

I've done zero research, but in this situation it might be fun to try something different.

Chauncey Billups and Ben Wallace

Appreciate Laimbeer kicking things off by immediately swiping my next pick. :-? I'll have to take another Piston legend instead.

Perhaps a bit outside the box but I love the versatility he brings next to KD.

Really wanted Giannis here, but I will be happy to take Steve Nash.
