Future Draft Games

The problem with any draft in which another drafter picks your player to any extent is the chaos that would come from a skipped pick

I don't think in my game it would be that chaotic.

The scenario:
Pick 1 - Shaq
pick 2- skipped bc of clock
pick 3- proceeds to pick Tim Duncan, pick 2 now has to pick someone who is not from the southwest divison. or if pick 4 picks before them, pick 2 is now dependent on the divisions not used with pick 4

It would just be annoying if in that scenario let’s say I’m pick 4(the chaos I’m referencing is more applicable to later rounds) and am doing all of this research to find the best player available to me not in the SouthWest, and am about to make my pick, but then the skipped pick comes back and picks someone which then makes me have to figure out a new plan based on what divisions are available now...

I can see where you are coming from, I would think that would just be part of the strategy of the game though.

I think there should be a chance you have to keep the player you drafted

That's why I like re-randomizing after a round or 2

It's more sabotage if you give them 24 FGA Stackhouse or 18 FGA Bargnani or something. Then you either have to play them in a major role or give them bench minutes and try to build a team with the remaining FGAs.

I have mixed feelings about the concept overall though.

Also are you Matt Barnes or someone with Utah with that disrespect towards Fisher

Maybe the chosen season has to be at least an all-star?

Or even All NBA. That weeds out some of the Stackhouse type guys and leaves some ones who are more playable but don't get picked often like Big Al and Derozan. Though losing Wizards MJ and post Achilles Kobe is sad.

Most games lately have been current era and older era is missing, which means no class

I'd leave it open as to when you select which player.

One in each of the first four seasons, one in each of the last four, and you can't use last four for still active players.

I'm now wondering how tedious this will be without the season finder.

Should the format be standard ABBABABA?

Should there be any limits on MVPs, etc?
