All - D Draft

Post#1 » by Laimbeer » Mon Feb 12, 2018 9:42 pm

1. Subject to the rules to be set out below, players making an all-defense team in the ABA or NBA are eligible to be drafted.

2. You will be required to draft a total of 8 players. Each of your players must play a minimum of 8 minutes in your rotations.

3. You must select a season in which the player made all-D.

4. Each player you select must have played at least 50% of regular season games in the season selected.

5. Your team will be allowed a combined total of 90.0 FGA corresponding with the specific seasons indicated for each player. Per-merger seasons (1976 and before) with have a .85 multiplier applied.

6. We will be doing a modified snake draft. It will go like this: ABBABABA

7. Partners will alternate picks. DO NOT COMMUNICATE PLANS OR INTENTIONS TO YOUR PARTNER, EITHER BY PM OR IN OPEN FORUM. Players will get a maximum of a 2-hour window to make their selection when they are on the clock. If you still have not chosen a player by then, you will be skipped. Also, if you know ahead of time that you won't be available to make your pick on the clock then please PM your selection to another participant. NOTE: You may not pick for your partner in his absence.

8. The clock starts Fat Tuesday at 9 AM EDT The clock will be turned off between 12 midnight and 9 AM EDT.

9. Draft order and partners were completely randomized.

10. After you have made your draft selection, please quote and/or PM the person that goes after you so they will know that it is their turn and they are on the clock. You may not change your pick after it has been made, even if the next person in the order has not picked yet. EDIT TO CLARIFY: The quoting is a courtesy. Your clock starts after the previous pick whether or not you are quoted.

11. The winner will be determined by a ranking system.

All - D Draft

Post#4 » by wackbone » Tue Feb 13, 2018 2:08 am

Was hoping either LeBron or MJ would slip, but alas...

I had a completely different player written here. Completely different. But the PG position is so scarce that there are very few guys I’d want running our team. I’m ultimately going to go away from BPA and take the best all around PG available, in my estimation.

Chris Paul. Isn’t one dimensional on offense like another PG is considered to be, and is much less of a ball hog than some other PGs available in this field. Sorry for venturing so far away from BPA Laimbeer, but it’s a positionally battle...

Pick: Chris Paul

Need a guy that can knock down from range playing alongside Diesel, positional flexibility is an added bonus. We take Kawhi Leonard.

Not sure where this guy ranks as far as overall talent amongst Centers, and I really don’t need to take a center, but the value he has at such a ridiculously low cost is too good to pass up, especially since people will be scrambling to put together their teams later.
