Please include this in your write-up:

-Rotations/Depth Charts
-FGA for each player/total FGA amount

-Add a write-up why you think you can beat your opponent and win it all (short/long/optional..up to you). You have 24 hours from this post to include a write-up, otherwise we will vote based on what was in their roster post

-First to four votes win. Please include a reasoning why you pick one team over the other. Votes with no explanation will not be counted. Once a vote has been made, it can't be changed/deleted.

Good luck!

P.S.-You both had the two highest votes in the rankings.

Rotations

PF - Mason (38), Perkins (5), Barry (5)
SF - Barry (35), Elie (13)
SG - Hawkins (38), Elie (10)
PG - Frazier (40), Paxson (8)

Writeup
This team is highly potent at both ends. Barry is an explosive pure scorer who moves well without the ball, Walton a terrific offensive hub in the mid-post area, and Frazier a savvy floor general who can take over when required. Hawkins and Mase are overqualified fourth and fifth options. Our reserve group of Elie, Paxson, and Perkins provides reliable long-range shooting. Defensively, Walton is one of the all-time great anchors, Frazier is legendary for locking down opposing guards, Mase guards multiple positions at a high level, and both Hawkins and Barry are pestiferous ballhawks who can get into their man and force turnovers. Elie gives us an additional dose of tough-nosed wing defense off the bench.

Matchup Specific
Timmy has a strong squad with no glaring weaknesses and somewhat similar construction to mine, so I'm not going to waste time picking nits with his team. I will say that I believe I have a clear edge in the frontcourt, more shooting (basically everyone except Mason is a good jumpshooter), and even more playmakers (all my starters except Hawkins are well above average in this regard). Hopefully these slight advantages will add up to get me the win in this one.

Good luck Timmay.

'97 Grant Hill - 15.7
'68 Jerry West - 15.5 (18.2)
'63 Sam Jones - 14.7 (17.2)
'99 Alonzo Mourning - 13.8
'99 Rasheed Wallace - 9.7
'96 Steve Kerr - 5.9
'87 Cedric Maxwell - 5.9
'91 Andrew Lang - 3.0

West (39) / Kerr (9)
Jones (32) / Kerr (16)
Hill (39) / Maxwell (9)
Wallace (32) / Maxwell (16)
Mourning (39) / Lang (9)

We have two elite offensive creators in West & Hill, and we flank them with athletes and shooters. In between the two is Sam Jones, one of the most clutch players ever and an excellent excellent shooter, even from long range. Seriously, go watch some highlights, the guy regularly made shots that would have been near or behind the three point line. In the frontcourt, we have Rasheed Wallace, who is excellent from mid range and still made use of his well-refined back to the basket game. We also have Cedric Maxwell, a great rebounder with one of the best free throw rates ever. Off the bench we bring Steve Kerr to give us just a little bit more long range shooting outside of West/Jones.

On defense, we are anchored by Alonzo Mourning. DPOY in '99, Zo has probably top-3 block timing ever along with Hakeem & Russell, and he's extremely strong for someone in his frame, to fight down low with the big boys. Sheed is another fantastic post defender, and he's quick enough to switch on the perimeter. Jerry West was 6'4" with a nearly 7' wingspan, who played passing lanes better than anybody and could stay in front of any opponent with his length and quickness. Everybody other than Steve Kerr is somewhere between well above average to elite on defense.

This team is loaded with playmakers and elite two-way players, with enough talent to push us through.

Matchup Specific:

Like Fade said, these are two excellent teams without any glaring weaknesses, and they're pretty similarly built. I think it's going to be small advantages that carry the winner through.

I think my advantages are at the guard positions, as West has a jump on Frazier and Jones was the number one offensive option for a team that won a gazillion championships. I also have advantages off the bench. Kerr is the better version of Paxson and Lang is at the very least a great defender and shot blocker, where as Perkins in the moonlight of his career was basically a stand still shooter. I do like Mario Elie a good bit but I do think Maxwell is better.

Really close matchup here. Very similarly built teams. In the end I’ll go with the team with the most proven 3 point shooter playing big minutes.

Vote: Fade

Fade's front line has a small but clear advantage for me and those backcourts look like a wash. His bigs have a clear passing edge and the fit looks better.

Close, but I think Hill has a good series and I prefer Timmay's bench

The clear top two teams in my opinion and were pretty much guaranteed to make the Finals after round 3. This is a close matchup but with Frazier outplaying West in their head to head matchups in the early 70s and Walton likely getting the best of Mourning, I would have to go with Fadeaway_J here.

Vote:
Spoiler:
Timmaytime

Reasoning: This is a very close championship match-up. You guys built similar teams that are pretty even. I like Timmaytime's back-court better, and I like Fadeaway's front-court better. It comes down to the benches in this one, and I do like Timmaytime's bench a little more than Fadeaway so I'm going to go with Timmaytime in a nail biter.

Timmaytime was my number 1 from the beginning, and I don’t see how he loses this with the talent advantage.

Very close matchup but I'll go with Fade here. He's got a slight advantage IMO in the front line and I just like the fit better. Also he used pestiferous in his write up and that should count for something as well :D

Well deserved win Fade.

Think we had very similar teams with yours being a little bit stronger.
