The Trading Places Draft - Rankings/Playoffs Thread

Post#1 » by Fadeaway_J » Sun Apr 22, 2018 10:21 pm

We will be ranking the top four teams. The rankings will be submitted to me via PM. Once all the rankings are in, the four teams with the most points will go into the playoffs. (Please note the full rankings will not be revealed until after the playoffs.)

Deadline for completion of roster pages is Monday, 9 PM EDT, after which people are free to send me their rankings regardless of how many pages have been completed.

The deadline for submission of rankings will be Wednesday, 9 PM EDT. If you have not submitted your rankings by this deadline, you will not be eligible for the playoffs. You will also be disqualified if your roster page has not beein completed with player seasons and rotations by the deadline.

Surprised Laimbeer didn't make it, I really liked his team. I am glad I didn't shoot myself in the foot too much with Dipo pick, getting Livingston despite a small bench budget really helped

Thanks, I was hopeful but I'm the worst judge of my own teams.

I don't recall McAdoo getting much traction in these and your backcourt was pretty mediocre tbh.

Peak Cheeks and peak Pierce? Really? Think they fit like a glove. Can’t deny the fact that McAdoo/Walton are both MVPs the following season. If you win MVP, your greatness in that period really isn’t up for debate

You were hating on Majerle before I even got started. Didn’t really plan on winning you over

Crazy I didn't make the playoffs, people have a bias against Cousins IMO.

I considered Majerle and Cheeks your backcourt. The fit is fine but from a talent standpoint it doesn't measure up for two starters, IMO. I've drafted Dan a lot but he and Cheeks are marginal starters / good bench pieces in this pool. McAdoo was a crazy talent, I just haven't seen him get much love in other games. Probably unfairly so.

I had you 4th, and woulda likely had you higher had you used a different season for Cousins. I appreciate his impact, but I was hesitant with him barely playing over 50% of the games this season.

Peak Cheeks. 15/9/great D. Doesn’t sound like a marginal starter to me

I had mcadoo shaq, got 0 votes. He was around equal to peak KAJ, and may have been the GOAT stretch PF - he's really overlooked in these

McAdoo is ridiculous offensive player but as far as I can tell played D like Gervin or Amare players, more so lacking the effort on that end than the tools.
