Cross-Eras Duos Draft (60s to Now) Rosters
Please include this in your roster:
. Players
. Depth Chart/Rotations (all your players must play a minimum of 8 minutes)
. Cross-Eras Duos (there should be 4 pairs, only one all-nba team player per pair)
. The most important of all, you must show the total FGA per player on your roster AND a total sum of each players FGA to display that it is 85.0 FGAs or less. You can use the .85 multiplier on pre-merger seasons. You will round down if less than 5 or round up if greater than 5 (example 19.58 rounds to 19.6 while 19.52 rounds to 19.5).
. Write-ups for rankings if doing one/just for fun

We have an explosive offensive team with three of the all time shooters at their position in Curry, Klay and Dirk, and Curry/Dirk pick and roll combination. Majerle and Battier also had a great shooting careers. Inside Gilmore is a post scorer and the most efficient scorer in the league. Defensively we have multiple versatile wings in Klay, Majerle and Battier, and Gilmore can protect the basket. KC Jones is one of the best on ball defenders at PG. Curry and 2007 Dirk are solid on defense.

2017 Gobert (7.7)
1979 Lacey (7.2)
1986 Bird (19.6)
1994 Miller (13.2)
2018 Harden (20.1)
2009 Kidd (7.6)
2014 Green (7.4)
1968 D. Hamilton (2.1)
Gobert 34/Lacey 14
Lacey 18/Hamilton 8/Bird 22
Bird 16/Miller 26/Green 6
Miller 8/Harden 23/Green 7
Harden 12/Kidd 36
Thought process:
For this format, getting a modern offense was going to be a challenge, so I set out to make that a priority, linking shooting with spacing, skilled passers & length.
Bird, Miller & Harden as a "Big 3" obviously provide the offensive skills which I spoke too. Kidd helps take some of the ball handling work-load off Harden & provides spacing while being a skilled passer himself. Gobert works well for rim running off P&Rs. Lacey has a nice mid-range jumper and in the year I picked, shot over 50% while bringing 5+ apg to the table. Green obviously helps provide spacing as a legit 3 point threat. Hamilton is a "throw-away" but did hit 50% of his shots while never missing a free throw (13/13 fwiw). A lot of teams are bringing multiple shot blocking threats but this team neutralizes that quite a bit.
Defensively, Gobert & Lacey are both strong rim protectors who anchored strong defenses (especially Gobert). They'll only share the floor for 18 minutes though, so I need to speak to the rest of it as the rest of the time it will be just one or the other. During those 30 minutes when only one is out there, rebounding could be challenging based on the front-court lineups, so I made sure that I drafted strong rebounding guards in Harden & Kidd.
Additionally, no player is shorter than 6'4, so it will be harder to create mis-matches & Harden is the player most identified as a weak defender, but his (presumably) MVP season offers fairly stout defense. Green will likely be assigned the opposing team's top wing scorer & may play more based upon the matchup. We have 3 strong defensive players, 4 decent (not weak spots, not great either) defenders & 1 probable soft defender in Hamilton. The player who could cause the most damage to this team (Shaq) is not in the field, so this makes me feel better.
Offensively, I feel like I have one of the very best teams in the field but I see better defensive teams than mine for sure. It's not hard to envision this team beating any team in the field; on the flip-side, if we have a disastrous night from 3, we could get beat by any team on any given night. In a way offense, is the team's defense because we have the ability to neutralize some of the elite shot blocking that other teams bring & warp their defense & substitution patterns. Like every team in the field, I think this would be the best defensive team in today's league by a fair margin, so it's not like this team (or the others) is a disaster defensively.
This was fun, which is the most important thing.

Steve Nash 04-05 11.4 FGA
Dwayne Wade 05-06 18.8 FGA
Clyde Drexler 91-92 16.3 FGA
Draymond Green 15-16 10.1 FGA
Bill Russell 64-65 10.7 FGA (with multiplier)
B: Clifford Ray 75-76 4.2 FGA (with multiplier)
B: Terry Porter 00-01 5.5 FGA
B: Rodney McCray 85-86 7.7 FGA
84.7 FGA/85
Nash (38)/Porter (10)
Wade (39)/Drexler (9)
Drexler (30)/McCray (18)
Green (37)/McCray (11)
Russell (39)/Ray (9)
Why vote for me? I've got a starting lineup full of All NBA players that all fit extremely well together. Draymond Green and Bill Russell anchor a very strong defense inside and out. Russell's rebounding can lead to incredible fast breaks with Steve Nash and his break partners Dwayne Wade and Clyde Drexler. Nash and Dray also combine to give great floor spacing, and you'll be hard pressed to find a big combo that's better at passing than Bill Russell and Draymond Green.
It's simply a great team with no perceivable weaknesses. Off the bench, Porter, McCray, and Ray are all very legitimate players. There is no weak link in this rotation, no "throwaway" players, giving my team above average depth and a great second unit as well.
Top to bottom I think this team stands apart in a crowded field.
Vote Snake!

We have one of the greatest defensive centers in his prime manning the middle paired with one of the most versatile defenders of all time in Kevin Garnett to provide a ridiculous amount of athleticism, as well as a DPOY on the wings with Cooper, we have a ridiculous ability to switch, and we have elite rim protection on the back line.
On the perimeter Cooper is one of the all-time peskiest players with his quick hands, high basketball IQ and timing, and Penny, Buse and Artest's length and speed in the passing lanes will make us incredibly tough to score on. Turnovers will prove especially costly against us as we're devastating in transition considering we can run every team off the floor with the bigs we have.
All though the focus was on defense we also managed to build an great offense as well, not only just stacked with star talent almost everywhere, but with unselfish talent that fits like a glove. Everyone has a clear cut role on offense, we have our slasher in Penny, the elite shooter who provides excellent spacing in Schrempf, KG who provides the ultimate versatility as a swiss army knife on offense either spacing or attacking off the dribble, and David Robinson one of the few elite big men who had almost no ego and did everything the team needed to win.

C: Hakeem Olajuwon (38) | Paul Silas (10)
The keys to the team are obviously in the front court, IMO arguably a top 5-7ish peak in NBA history in ’93 Hakeem, one of the GOAT defensive seasons + he took his offense to a different level as well. I think he’s one of the best two-way centerpieces you can build a team around. Alongside him there’s another all time great peak in ’90 Barkley. Explosive, one of his better defensive seasons, and insanely efficient. Also more aggressive on the interior, which just multiplies the damage Hakeem is already doing in the paint, and opening things up further for the backcourt. I feel the pressure Hakeem and Barkley could put on teams in the paint would be pretty overwhelming.
In the backcourt I feel Ray Allen & Kyle Lowry are a fantastic fit. Two high volume 40%+ 3PT shooters with legit gravity and difficult shot making ability to capitalize on all the attention Hakeem & Barkley draw in the paint. Smart team players who skill-wise complement the big men extremely well and are just winning basketball players. Then to round out the starting lineup we have one of the most badass swiss army knife type players in Andrei Kirilenko. Offensively does a bit of everything and defensively an absolute monster, I really feel Hakeem & AK47 form the makings of an amazing defense.

Write-Up:
This offense is high powered that will run like a well oiled machine with a multi-faceted attack. Billups/Malone will hit you with the pick and pop. Dr. J is great slashing to the rim. Moses will do the dirty work in the post. Eddie Jones/Korver are great three point shooters alongside Billups. I have the best front-court trio in this game with Dr. J, Karl Malone, and Moses Malone. That's 3 MVPs. You read that correctly..I don't think anybody has 3 MVPs on their team. Defensively, you have five starters who made the all-defensive team in the seasons chosen with nobody being a liability starting. I don't think any other team has five starters who made the all-defensive teams in their season chosen. Not to mention my front-court trio made all-defensive first teams and their elite rebounding prowess they all have. Deke provides rim protection off the bench. Korver provides instant offense off the bench. This team is going to be tough to stop offensively and going to be tough to beat defensively especially with the physicality down low. Vote for CSF21!

Gary Payton (1993, 9.1)
Derek Harper (1986, 9.2) / Tayshaun Prince (2004, 8.8)
LeBron James (2013, 17.8)
Lamar Odom (2008, 10.3) / Nate Thurmond (1964, 6.2 with multiplier and rounding down)
Alonzo Mourning (1995, 14.3) / Jack Sikma (1978, 9.2)
Total average fg attempts = 84.9
Minutes and rotations will vary depending on who I am playing. However minutes will look similar to this:
Gary Payton (36) / Derek Harper (12)
Derek Harper (24) / Tayshaun Prince (12) / LeBron James (12)
LeBron James (24) / Tayshaun Prince (24)
Nate Thurmond (8) / Lamar Odom (36) / Alonzo Mourning (4)
Alonzo Mourning (32) / Jack Sikma (16)
Mourning, Sikma, and Thurmond can all play power forward or center. However Sikma will most likely always defend center and I can move Thurmond or Mourning to power forward if need be for bigger teams.
Odom will play power forward and at small forward if needed.
LeBron will play small forward and the guard positions.
Harper, Payton, LeBron, Prince, Odom, and Mourning will all play around 36 minutes.
My perimeter and post defense and offensive ability are elite.
I think I have good versatility with my low post players. For example Odom and Sikma were great passers. Thurmond’s shooting range is not well documented but I heard he did have a jump shot. Odom, Mourning, and Sikma all had good range on their jump shots. All 4 are athletic as well.
Harper and Payton can defend either guard position. They can both pass and score.
Prince will guard the guard and small forward positions.
All of my players can switch well on defense.
Payton will guard the tougher offensive opponent at the guard positions.
