GL poopdamoop, your team is pretty stacked

- If he starts Lebron at PF, we'll deal with the problem by putting Malone on Bowen. Bowen is useless on offense except taking wide open 3s. He's not going to be even dribbling off closeouts or coming off screens, Malone should be fine. Curry will defend Nash and DPOY Moncrief will defend young George, Butler on Lebron, and Howard on Ewing. Offensively we'll take advantage of Nash's defense, either Curry will dominate him, or he'll use Bowen on Curry which both isn't ideal and leaves Nash to defend out of position on Moncrief. Lebron will also have his hands full getting worn down by Malone. Korver is the only backup perimeter player on his team which should mean lots of minutes with Nash and Korver playing at the same time which we can take advantage of defensively. Dwight doesn't have range but his pick and rolls with Curry can extend Ewing's defense out of the paint.

- He will likely mention a depth advantage, but both teams have 5 all-stars it's just mine are in the starting lineup and he has one off the bench in Korver, and Korver and George are the two worst of the ten all-stars (this version of George is worse than Minny Butler). The other players are a role player wing in Bowen and Majerle, which leaves Oakley and Rambis which I don't think swings the the series if our starting lineup is better. Our bench isn't spectacular but we trust Majerle and he's playing the bulk of the minutes.

- We have 2 of the 3 best players in Curry and Malone and I believe 5 of the top 8 (Lebron, Curry, Malone, Nash, Ewing, Moncrief, Butler, Howard)

2013 LeBron James - 27/8/7/2, 41% 3PT, MVP, Finals MVP, All-NBA 1st, All-D 1st
1992 Patrick Ewing - 24/11/3/2, MVP(5), All-NBA 2nd, All-D 2nd
2013 Paul George - 18/8/4, 37% 3PT, All-NBA 3rd, All-D 2nd
2005 Steve Nash - 16/12/3, 43% 3PT, MVP, All-NBA 1st
2015 Kyle Korver - 12/4/3, 49% 3PT, All-Star
2005 Bruce Bowen - 8/4/2, 40% 3PT, All-D 1st
1992 Charles Oakley - 6/9/2
2015 Ryan Hollins - 3/2/1, 65% FGA

Nash(36) / LeBron(12)
Bowen(28) / Korver(20)
George(38) / Korver(8) / LeBron(2)
LeBron(26) / Oakley(22)
Ewing(38) / Hollins(8) / Oakley(2)

GL to Dr. P, who has a really nice team.

Our team is anchored by two of the best offensive players of all time in Nash and LeBron, who are lethal in both halfcourt and transition offenses. We've surrounded them with an elite C in Ewing, elite defense in Bowen/George/Oakley, and elite shooting with Korver.

Dr. P has some big names on his roster, but there are a few reasons we should win this matchup.

- I question the fit of Dr. P's team. Curry is the only elite shooter, and his best seasons have come playing with guys like Thompson and Durant to provide him with spacing. Moncrief and Butler, while great, don't have the same gravity that Curry's real life teammates do. Curry/Moncrief/Butler all work best as primary ball-handlers, and I'm confident with Bowen/George/LeBron guarding them, they'll have issues figuring things out.

- On the other hand, our stars fit very well together, with Nash and LeBron handling the ball and Ewing patrolling the paint. When LeBron has the ball, he'll have elite spacing all around him, whereas we can shade into the paint against Dr. P's team

- Howard is clearly not a shooting threat, and consistently struggles against bigger, stronger Cs (check out his stats against Yao and Shaq). Ewing is longer and bigger, and has range that Howard can't match - with Nash and LeBron spoonfeeding him and the spacing our team has, I see this matchup swinging strongly in my favor. Malone doesn't have the playmaking ability of Draymond that Curry relies on as an outlet valve in the PnR, and with LeBron guarding him, the Curry/Malone PnR won't be as threatening.

- We'll put Bowen on Curry and Nash on Moncrief. I'm not worried about Moncrief doing too much damage as a secondary ball-handler, especially given Butler is pretty iso-heavy as well and will be taking a lot of touches. With prime LeBron and Ewing patrolling the paint, we're confident in our rim protection. Curry and Malone have hit and miss playoff careers, while Nash consistently stepped up his game in the POs and LeBron has fully exorcised his playoff demons at this point in his career.

- Curry guarding Nash and Malone guarding Bowen is risky for Dr. P. We can run 1-4 PnR with Nash/LeBron and get Curry switched onto LBJ, run 1-5 or 4-5 PnR to pull Howard out of the paint while Nash/LeBron penetrate, post up LeBron with Nash/Bowen/Korver/George spacing, etc. Nash and LeBron give us tons of offensive opportunities, allowing us to hunt for mismatches and run everything through an all-time great offensive player at all times.

- Overall, our shooting is far superior, and we have the best player in the series and 3 of the top 5. Our defense is incredibly versatile and should give Curry and Malone tons of problems, and our bench is far superior and can legitimately swing games for us.

this is a pretty bad offense to feature Stephen Curry. he's going to spend most of his time feeding the ball inside and watching guys go to work in the post. I would say poop's scoring advantage is pretty significant here.

Poop has the best player here and Dr P really doesn't have anything to completely bridge that. Poop's fit is better as well, with Ewing and Malone being a bit redunant.

The Jimmy Butler isn't a 3 point threat narrative always bugs me. I think LBJ/Nash will step on each other toes as much as Curry/Jimmy/Sidney. I like the idea of a Curry/Malone PnR. I don't think it's enough here. I think the talent/fit around LeBron is enough here to get a W.

I think Curry is getting super underrated, as is Malone. Curry will go off running screens against Bowen, who was a great on ball defender but not athletic. Malone will go off against this team as well, resting on defense then bullying Lbj on offense.

Poop's superior depth and spacing win out in this one. A bench of Rambis, old Majerle, and Oberto brings very little in terms of talent or versatility.
