Post#1 » by Fadeaway_J » Mon Aug 12, 2019 11:16 pm

Here is a quick list of what you need in your writeup.

1. Specific years for each player on your team
2. Rotations and minutes for each player
3. Reasoning as to why your team will win and/or why people should vote for you.

Do not vote in this thread until both managers have submitted their writeups.

If writeups aren't posted within 24 hours, we will vote solely based on the players they have drafted (and any rotations they have posted on their roster page).

**First to 4 votes wins the championship.**

Write-up:
Shaq is the greatest center of all-time IMO but you have to admit Embiid vs Shaq would be an epic fantasy battle to witness. Embiid has just a good chance vs Shaq as almost any other center who has ever lived.

Shaq is the best player in the series, but I think I have the 2nd, 3rd, & 4th best players in this series. These versions of Paul Pierce & Klay Thompson are not “prime seasons” neither made All-NBA.

Both teams are about 3 & D, but I think I have the better Defense. All of my starters were All-Defensive team except KD but this is Power Forward KD. He is now strong & in 2018 he blocked a ton of shots(5th) & was heavily considered for the all-defensive team, while still being normal 3pt shooting/post-up KD on offense. This is also Prime 2019 Paul George. Elite Defender(3rd for DPOY), elite score, & elite 3pt shooter. Best version of any 2-way player alive(3rd for MVP). I think PG13 & KD will have there way in this series carrying my team to victory.

I really like both teams a lot! Shaq is always the man!
Good luck Tony Snell! Go Bulls!!

PG: 09/10 Deron Williams 13.9
SG: 17/18 Klay Thompson 16.2
SF: 09/10 Paul Pierce 12.2
PF: 17/18 Al Horford 10.5
C: 99/00 Shaquille O'Neal 21.1

BE: 07/08 James Posey 5.6
BE: 10/11 Erick Dampier 1.7
BE: 99/00 Damon Jones 3.8

Total: 85.0 / 85.0

Rotation:

PG: Williams (40) Jones (8)
SG: Thompson (38) Pierce (10)
SF: Pierce (28) Posey (20)
PF: Horford (38) Posey (10)
C: O'Neal (38) Dampier (10)

Write-up:

Congrats on making the finals DN and good luck. I think we match up pretty well here. I think we have the best player in the series, along with 5 of the top 8 players in the matchup. Horfor, Klay, and Posey will see time on Durant, with Klay also spending time on PG. Durant's game isnt speed driven, so I think horford will do a fine job. We also have the option to slide Horford up to Battier with Pierce/Klay/Posey taking Durant/PG if need be. We have tons of spacing around Shaq. Embiid will be left on an island, and he can often be foul prone, so I think Shaq will have a big one. Vote TS!

I think Durant should have a big series. However, I think Snell’s offensive attack is simply too much to overcome.

Embiid is about as solid as it gets against Shaq imo, DN’s D is a phenomenal cover and I think KD does work against Horford.

I don't understand why Horford would even be spending a second on KD when he can be (relatively) safely stashed on Battier.

Embiid will work his ass off against Shaq, which I think will come at the cost of his offensive production. KD and PG have a clear ascendancy over Pierce and Klay. The X factor for me is D-Will who is a different level of playmaker to Conley; combine that with Shaq and Horford being terrific passing big men, and I see Snell's offense flowing more smoothly.

Shaq will have a huge series. But, Embiid is way more suited to guard Shaq than Horford is to guard KD - KD will go off. I think Conley will do a solid job on DWill, and the perimeter defense of DN is a lot better. Although in a vacuum I prefer TonySnell's team, DN wins this match-up

The better team is Tony Snell’s, but DN goes in with the upset, rightfully so he will be attacking Horford with KD. That’s a huge mismatch and Embiid is the Xfactor

To be clear, I did say we would be mixing up defensive assignments and that Horford would be moved off of Durant if he was struggling at all.

Shaq is better than Durant, but favorable matchup for Durant with Horford helps make it a little closer. I think DerrickNoah has the stronger perimeter defense and will be able to cover his shooters with Embiid doing a decent job on Shaq. The uglier the series gets the more I favor his team with the length of George and Durant to shoot over opponents. Vote DerrickNoah

GG DN. Tough matchup for me, so I didnt feel great coming in. I may never get out of this slump.

Thx TONY! I also wasn’t confident. You had great shooting around Shaq which is usually a championship squad. Pretty sure if I a picked a smaller center than Embiid, you would have won. Good game bud & thanks to all the voters who believed in Power Forward KD!
