White Man Can't Jump Rd 1 : Laimbeer vs Jon_3232*

Post#1 » by Laimbeer » Tue Sep 10, 2019 7:25 pm

Here is a quick list of what you need in your write-up.

1. Specific years for each player on your team

2. Rotations and minutes for each player

3. Reasoning as to why your team will win and/or why people should vote for you.

Do not vote in this thread until both managers have submitted their write-ups.

If write-ups aren't posted within 24 hours, we will vote solely based on the players they have drafted (and any rotations they have posted on their roster page.

First to 3 votes advances.

84.8/85

Dave Cowens (38) / Shawn Bradley (8) / Pau Gasol (2)
Pau Gasol (36) / Joe Ingles (12)
John Havlicek (30) / Joe Ingles (18)
Brent Barry (36) / Jon Barry (6) / John Havlicek (6)
Mark Price (36) / Jon Barry (12)

Good luck, Jon.

The front lines are fairly similar, but our backcourt is far more dynamic offensively. Our bench is better as well.

PG - Don Buse (34) / Pablo Prigioni (14)
SG - Dan Majerle (32) / Danny Ainge (16)
SF - Chris Mullin (40) / Dan Majerle (8)
PF - Kevin Love (30) / Maxi Kleber (18)
C - Jack Sikma (38) / Kevin Love (10)

1989/90 Chris Mullin - 16.3 fga
1992/93 Dan Majerle - 13.4 fga
2013/14 Kevin Love - 18.5 fga
1981/82 Jack Sikma - 14.8 fga
1981/82 Danny Ainge - 4.2 fga
1976-77 Don Buse 7.9 fga
2013/14 Pablo Prigioni - 2.9 fga
2018/19 Maxi Kleber - 5.4 fga

83.4/85 fga

Lead by one of the greatest shooter/scorers in Chris Mullin, this team has elite shooting at every position while being one of the better defensive teams too. Buse/Majerle are an incredible defensive backcourt duo while Sikma can stretch the floor and provide elite defense.

Offensively I think I have the top two guys in Mullin/Love who put up 25.1 and 26.1 ppg. Sikma and Love are two elite passing bigs who will be able to help create open looks for Majerle and Mullin.

Defensively I think I stack up well

Buse is on Price
Majerle on Barry
Mullin on Havlicek
Love on Gasol
Sikma on Cowens

Majerle can cover Havlicek too if Havlicek finds the fountain of youth and gets going.

Laimbeer's backcourt is much more dynamic so I like his teama ability to consistently provide offense and I like his bench. Vote: Laimbeer

I like Love/Mullin on the perimeter, with Buse on Price being big here. The talent is similar, but the matchup favors Jon.
