Should we do full playoffs with byes or hybrid? I lean towards the former except I'm always worried about the matchups dragging due to lack of voting.

I couldn't convince myself that 13 Curry is actually better than peak Price

I’d def say Curry was better player as a shooter/scorer, but Price was pretty damn elite on that end too and he’s 3 fga cheaper so I’d say they’re pretty even in value.

Re: The Sunrise-Sunset Draft (90s to now) - Discussion Thread
I would like clarification for a player.
He retired from the NBA, but then last season returned to play, though has not been signed this season is still continuing in a league not the NBA.
Most of y’all probably know who I am talking about, but wondering if I draft him, can I use his last 4 seasons?
Since he is technically retired, just hasn’t closed the door fully?
I have sent my list to DN, just in case I ain’t around to pick since Timezone, and was wondering as it affects if I pick him or not?

I have no idea who you're talking about, but if he played in the league as recently as 2018-19 and hasn't confirmed his retirement since then I would treat him as still active. Overseas players come back to the NBA all the time.

Andrew Bogut
He announced his retirement from the NBA last offseason,
Then got picked up by the warriors last season...
Kerr has stated he would be happy to have Bogut back, and Bogut has stated he is open to the idea but not for the whole season...
So technically he is meant to be retired, but of recent he has seemed open to the idea...
So active or not?
Maybe we should draw the line at players who are active in any league? So say Luis Scola is still technically active as an example?

If he had announced his retirement from the NBA at the end of 2018-19 then you could use the last four years, but as of right now he is still active.
Please PM me if you want to discuss specific unpicked players, they shouldn't really be named in the thread.

technically - guys announce but until they submit the paperwork they are not considered retired.
There are other guys who sit out a year (or more - or play in Europe) and return. How do you count the last season?
NBA
NBA
did not play

retired. Could you use the last 4 NBA seasons? How about if they played in Europe in the 2 missed seasons?

I anticipated this question, which is why I specifically worded the rule this way:
A season only counts towards the tally if the player participated in at least one regular season or playoff game.
So in your example, you could use the last four NBA seasons. Those two years in the middle where the player was retired/sitting out/playing overseas would not count.

Was really struggling with Karl vs. Vince. Karl fell pretty far.

Going to have a Snell-esque bench but Porter-Wade-TMac-Sheed-Deke is solid IMO.

I take it you didn't see this post:

With his career starting in 1985-86, only his last four years are available in this draft.

Damn I didn’t think Arvydas Sabonis would get picked, none the less happy to get a cheap Joe to add to my collection.
Thanks DN for making my pick also.

FFFFF that was a massive brainfart.
No idea how I'm going to get out of this now.
