Hehe, same bench, same me
After your first, you change, you mature, you dont just jump into things.

After getting dunked on for the first time, life becomes complex.

I feel like I could’ve been more efficient than spending 16 FGAs+ on Smart, Elie and Davis, but not sure who I would be spending those FGAs on

Same, I spent a lot on my bench this time around.

There weren't as many quality starters to spend it on though, and I set the tone early by getting Dirk/Hill, who are relatively low FGA offensive stars.

I see it as a pretty legitimate difference, younger Middleton is a slightly rich man’s role player vs all-star later.

Yeah, I'm just stuck on which season to use for Dumars. I want a good three-point shooting year to fit the theme of my team, but those are either more expensive or post prime.

Middleton was just as good defensively in ‘15 as he was in ‘19 and he shot great from 3. Overall he’s a better player in ‘19 but if it means going for a lesser version of Dumars then I think you go for ‘15 Middleton. 93 Dumars is waaaay better than any version of Middleton

My concern is that players like 2015 Middleton tend to get brushed aside in matchups with people focusing more on star power.

I don't know. I'm still going back and forth, I'll probably change my mind again tomorrow.

It's definitely doable but you'd have to downgrade from peak Duncan. Probably not worth it.

Especially since with Nash he’d only be getting max 10 mins. Later Cheeks could still play D tho and with Allen ding able to play 1 through 3 it’s def not worth downgrading

I think any version of Dumars is better than Middleton if only for defensive purposes. Dumars did work on the best of em.

To be fair only two matchups are open for voting now, and yours has had the longest wait so far at under two hours.

It's more the combination of a long wait for voting in the first round (normally the voting is best there cause nobody is eliminated) combined with people taking nearly the full 24 to post their write ups

If the matchups are posted late at night, I can promise you I won't be able to do a writeup until the following evening.

The first round voting took around a day to be completed, which is par for the course. It could always start to drag but I'm not worried as yet.
