Should we be listing the specific year for the player we're drafting in the draft thread?

Nope, just ensure it's on your roster page at the end.

I’ve got the late second round as yielding similar talent as the early second in this one. That’s unfortunate.

This draft is going as expected. After a clear Top 2 and Top 9 things will be interesting.

I'll buy the top two but not sure who the top nine would be.
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

A point God, two wings and a center.

edit: Snakebites could convince us another wing deserves mention as well

There's a clear top 9?... I'm not very good at these lists yet...

I had a clear top 8. Not sure who I’m missing.

It may be 8. One guy isn't a routine 1st or even 2nd round pick because he is $$$ but we don't have the superstar wings so he may actually be the best wing available, even including Wade.

Good thing we don't mention names.

Anyway I think there's at least two points on that tier, three centers are close together, and I really can't say which two wings you mean. I'm considering cost, though.

I'm not factoring in cost and I could be undervalued or overvalued some guys.

I will say the wings are DEEP in this pool, which I didn't expect as much when excluding 2010s.

I typically open an excel sheet and either make columns for positions or tiers. Then I open up Basketball Reference All-NBA teams and go through all the years and write down names. Then I do the same with All-defensive teams. It takes maybe 10-15 minutes.

In the past Basketball-reference.com had a search function for free [now behind paywall] where you could search by any criteria. This allowed you to search for FGA/G which made competing benches easily.
