For the record, my point about DeAndre Jordan somewhat reliably guarding Shaq and Kareem is I think he would do a much better job than pretty much any C left, not that he's an elite option himself, if that makes sense.

There aren't any elite options in this pool tbh. However, you need get some of it back by attacking Shaq in the pick-and-roll, and DAJ helps with that.

Man I would much preferred the last pick in this draft.
I cannot hate on Cury and Richmond. Be a really hard to guard duo...but draft is getting thin from here on out.

Brand can play center. Calling him a “big center” at 6-9 is a stretch.
Both he and Marion were in consideration for me at the 4. I wouldn’t have taken them as a pair though.

Weight wize he is pretty big.
6'9" 275lbs is more than a center who played 1 year for the lakers who was listed at 6'10" and 265lbs
He isnt Shaq big, but he was a pretty big man.
also has a 7"5.5" wingspan.
Big Center might have been a little bit of a stretch, but not too much.
I went with him and Marion both because I really like what Marion brings. And with an offense run by Steph and Richmond it will be an up and down and MArion should excell from the gravity that Steph and Richmond will creates as well as he did with Nash in Phoenix. An open court beast who defends.

I think they work fine offensively.
The issue is no playmakers around Curry to take advantage of his off-ball game.
Marion: Peak 2.7 APG, Prime 2.1 APG
Brand: Peak 3.3 APG, Prime 2.7 APG
I'm actually surprised Larry didn't take an all-nba big man who is an excellent passer and won multiple championships as a 2nd option. Also larger than Brand.

shhh
Was hoping he still drops. lol
Also, I think Richmond is enough of an on ball guard that lets Curry run offball.
No mater what my next pick will be looking for a guy who can run as a playmaker from the forward spot.

Ah dam, was really hoping KJ kept falling, maybe should've just taken him in the 3rd.

I almost took KJ in Rd 2. I thought there would be a bigger run on PGs.

Pau is one of the most slept on players in these games, and was my next pick. Good job Colb!

Yeah, I’ve already screwed this one up. Let’s see if I can make anything work with drops.

I was worried you would take him.
Yup--Gasol doesn't provide a ton of spacing in terms of shooting but he is an excellent passer and playmaker for a big man which allows him to co-exist with even the clunkiest of fits [next to Bynum, for example]. Is a good defender [a notch below all-defensive but still a major +] and is cheap at 13 FGA.
Should work well next to Barkley and allows me to use an unconventional PG as I have playmaking from Kawhi/Barkley/Gasol.
