Write Up:
GL ardee! Made a heck of a team.

Offense:
The better of his 2 MVP seasons, where he scores a little more, Steve Nash is primed to dominate with peak Dirk, peak Kobe and peak Butler. DPOY of the year anchors our team. Nash makes everyone better and he has no holes with this line up around him. He has pick and rolls with Dirk, pick and pops with Kobe, he can find Butler slashing, he has the weak side lob with Chandler. Virtually anything is possible with this line up as it comes so easy with this core.

Defense:
Butler will always defend the best wing, keeping Kobe fresher for offense. Nash will always defend the weakest guard to hide him when possible. We can also flank him with Caruso off the bench. Our front line is solid with Chandler protecting the paint. We have Ariza and Tucker off the bench who are also very good defenders. As a unit, we believe our team defense would be very good.

Vs. ardee we will match up straight up. CP3 will look to distribute, so with Kobe on Klay and Butler on KD it will be harder for him. Chandler protects the paint and Dirk can sag off Draymond. We will out his team in tough switches where Nash can work his magic. I feel as if I have 3 of the top 4 players in this match up. Vote Ness

-We have a proven model that is built off the greatest team in history. This is basically the 2010s Warriors dynasty with CP3 instead of Curry at PG and a huge upgrade at center + a better bench.

-On offense, the goal will be to hunt Nash a LOT. Ness said that they will be using straight position matchups, which means Nash is on CP3. Ness handwaves the matchup by saying Paul will look to distribute, but that will not be the case. He was absolutely capable of taking over a game scoring-wise if need be from '14-'16, and we'll use this matchup to our advantage. We'll also run screens with Durant to force a switch and put Nash in an even worse matchup against KD.

-Klay will be run off a bunch of screens every play. Kobe is guarding him, and despite being my favorite player I acknowledge off-ball defense is his weakness. He will either get caught sleeping and Klay gets a wide open three, OR it ends with Kobe running around like a madman and being exhausted on offense.

-Dragic was still All-Star caliber in the chosen year and will ensure I have a very competent PG on the court for 48 minutes no matter what.

-The death lineup with Draymond at center will be run 10 or so mins a game and will completely blow them away matchup wise. It leaves Dirk guarding Durant and Chandler needing to follow Draymond out to the 3 point line.

-Defensively, we have a great matchup for all his stars. CP3 was ELITE defensively at that point and will do a job on Nash. Iggy mostly on Kobe (with Klay helping where needed), Durant/Klay on Butler, and Draymond on Dirk. Then there's Bam to provide help wherever needed, he was a DPoY contender and Chandler isn't much of an offensive threat.

-I also think he is gonna have a too many cooks effect. My stars fit together extremely well since they're all great shooters and can work off the ball (and did so IRL with mostly the same teammates). Nash and Dirk fit great, but I think Kobe and especially Butler just make it messy, there are only so many shots to go around. Butler was a terrible shooter that year too and will do a lot of standing around.

-I think the talent is mostly equal: CP3/Durant and Kobe/Dirk cancel each other out. But my fit is what gives me the win here: Nash is gonna be a major liability on defense, and like I said, Butler's role in this team just isn't that clear.

I believe that the ultimate difference make here is that Madness has 1 more scorer on his team colpared to ardee

Both teams are great. I don't really like Kobe and Butler fit, but also not Paul Draymond Bam. I feel like MadNess team has a bit better coherence, and the Nash Kobe Dirk foundation is just insane.

CP3 and Steph are as different as a pair of PGs can be. I'm not saying it's unworkable, but it's definitely not going to be similar to how the peak Warriors operated.
