Draft Rules:

1. All NBA/ABA seasons from 1999-00 to 2023-24 are eligible, subject to the restrictions outlined below.

2. You will be required to draft a total of 8 players in 4 rounds. Each of your players must play a minimum of 8 minutes in your rotations.

3. Your team will be allowed a combined total of 88.0 FGA with a minimum of 3.0 FGA per player corresponding with the specific seasons indicated for each player. Pre-merger seasons are multiplied by 0.85 (rounded to closest 0.85). NOTE: You may pick a player whose actual FGA number was lower than 3.0, but you still be charged 3.0 for that player.

4. Each player you select must have played at least 50% of regular season games in the season selected, and at least 50% of his games for an eligible franchise.

5. In this draft, each pick is a duo of players selected according to pairs of teams. Each pair represents one team that a current coach is coaching and another team where the coach played the most during their career.

Each duo can include a maximum of one player who has ever been an All-NBA First Team selection.

The list of team pairs based on current coaches:

Warriors-Bulls (Steve Kerr)

Clippers-Hawks (Tyronn Lue)

Lakers-Magic (JJ Redick)

Mavericks-Nets (Jason Kidd)

Blazers-Pistons (Chauncey Billups)

Pelicans-76ers (Willie Green)

Rockets-Spurs (Ime Udoka)

Bucks-Hawks (Doc Rivers)

Pacers-Celtics (Rick Carlisle)

Bulls-Knicks (Billy Donovan)

For a duo with Team A and Team B, one player should be picked in a season where he played 50% of his games in the season for Team A, and the second player should be picked in a season where he played 50% of his games in the season for Team B.

6. We will be doing a modified snake draft. It will go like this: ABBA.

7. Players will get a maximum of a 2-hour window to make their selection when they are on the clock. If you still have not chosen a player by then, or if the player you have chosen is ineligible, you will be skipped. Also, if you know ahead of time that you won't be available to make your pick on the clock then please PM your selection to another participant. NOTE: If you miss one pick and have failed to make it by the time your next pick comes around, you will be skipped.

8. The clock will be turned off between 12 midnight and 9 AM EDT.

9. Draft order will be completely randomized.

10. After you have made your draft selection, please quote and/or PM the person that goes after you so they will know that it is their turn and they are on the clock. You may not change your pick after it has been made, even if the next person in the order has not picked yet. Please note that the clock starts whenever the previous drafter has either made their pick or their two-hour window has expired, even if the next person is not quoted.

11. The winner of the draft will be determined by rankings, playoffs, or hybrid (depending on numbers).

Team Roster Page Rules:

You will be responsible for creating a roster page for your fantasy team. Here are the things that you will be required to include on your roster page:

. Players
. Rotations
. Draft selections
. The most important of all, you must show the total FGA per player on your roster AND a total sum of each players FGA to display that it is under the required 88.0 FGA

-All of the above must be completed before playoffs/rankings begin.

Until this exact moment I had no idea Billy Donovan had played in the NBA.

Seems like it's a slow period in general right now.

Yeah.

These games are always on a knife's edge here. All it takes is a few people who aren't feeling a particular idea or don't have the time to commit to it and a game is already facing an uphill battle.

I'll join seeing as the clock won't start for a while. I'm essentially fully unavailable tomorrow between 4:30 pm and midnight, but then otherwise available.

Yeah.

It’s worth pointing out that mine only managed 7 WITH a quote bomb. This one seemingly has more legs. It’s a pretty deep pool- I’d love to get at least 10. Were at 9 now.

Might as well roll with eight. I don't think you're going to get a lot more with a different idea.

I wonder should we change the one All NBA First per pair limitation, to one Multiple All NBA First per pair.

On the one hand, there are some strong All NBA First guys like with strong franchises like Paul George with Boston, but it would be annoying that a guy like Joakim Noah won't be available to pair with a GS Warrior.
