Here is a quick list of what you need in your writeup.

1. Specific years for each player on your team
2. Rotations and minutes for each player
3. Reasoning as to why your team will win and/or why people should vote for you.

Do not vote in this thread until both managers have submitted their writeups. Please ensure you give a rationale for your vote; votes with no explanation will not be counted.

If writeups aren't posted within 24 hours, we will vote solely based on the players they have drafted (and any rotations they have posted on their roster page).

We'll be using a AI vote when a matchup seems stuck. AI vote counts for a single vote.

PG: Steve Nash (2005: 11.4 FGA)
SG: Chauncey Billups (2009: 12.4 FGA)
SG: Andrew Wiggins (2022: 14.0 FGA)
PF: Lebron James (2020: 19.4 FGA)
C: Dikembe Mutombo (2002: 8.0 FGA)

SF/PF: Grant Williams (2022: 5.6 FGA)
PF: Kevin Love (2011: 14.1 FGA)
C: Dwight Powell (2024: 1.7 FGA = 3.0)

87.9 / 88

PG: Steve Nash (38) / Chauncey Billups (10)
SG: Chauncey Billups (28) / Andrew Wiggins (20)
SF: Andrew Wiggins (20) / Lebron James (20) / Grant Williams (8)
PF: Lebron James (18) / Kevin Love (26) / Grant Williams (4)
C: Dikembe Mutombo (36) / Dwight Powell (8) / Kevin Love (4)

Defensive matchups: Billups on Curry, Nash on Caruso, Wiggins on Brown, Lebron on Towns, Mutombo on Duncan

- He has a supremely talented top 2 however I consider Nash and Lebron a bit more complimentary than Curry and a post player to at least close the gap.

- Starting Billups allows us to have solid defenders for Curry and Mutombo and causes his lineup issues with double center frontcourt against a Nash+Lebron PF team, such as causing him to have to put Towns on Wiggins. We will have great playmaking on the floor at all times, for example when Nash sits Lebron+Billups combo is pretty damn good, likewise when Lebron sits Nash running the offense with Love at PF should keep us going well.

- Our depth is the deciding factor with Love, Williams and Powell bench vs Mavs/Knicks Deandre, old Tucker and Prigs, along with stronger 5th starter in Wiggins over Caruso. On his roster page he was riding a lot of Deandre minutes who is barely better than Powell at this stage to me.

Tim Duncan ( 2003 ) 17.2
Jaylen Brown ( 2023 ) 20.6
PJ Tucker ( 2023 ) 3.0
Alex Caruso ( 2021 ) 5.3
Stephen Curry ( 2015 ) 16.8

DeAndre Jordan ( 2019 ) 6.5
Karl-Anthony Towns ( 2024 ) 14.3
Pablo Prigioni ( 2013 ) 3.0

86.7

Tim Duncan (38) / DeAndre Jordan (8) / Karl-Anthony Towns (2)
Jaylen Brown (18) / Karl-Anthony Towns (30)
PJ Tucker (20) / Jaylen Brown (20)
Alex Caruso (36) / PJ Tucker (12)
Stephen Curry (40) / Pablo Prigioni (8)

Good luck, Dr P.

We have big time offensive ability with Duncan, Curry, Love and Brown. The space, P&R with Duncan, and a secondary point in Caruso will allow Steph to thrive.

I've tweaked the rotation to better show how we'll generally match up.

Duncan - Deke
Jordan - Powell
Brown - LeBron
KAT - Love
PJ - Wiggins
Caruso - Nash
Curry - Billups

Duncan will be able to bring his elite interior defense with Deke being a non-factor in that lineup. Deke also isn't a great center for Nash to work with. Playing out of position makes Billups an afterthought on offense minimizes his abilities.

Given this version of LeBron, I think we have a noticeable talent advantage as well as a better fit offensively.

I've tweaked the lineup to show we'll match-up.

Vote DrPositivity

Has 3 quality ball guys running the whole ship, and having Williams/Billups/Bron Bron going wherever is great. Even though I don't like the fit with Wiggins it's the superior team imho.

A crap ton is left on Curry's shoulders and is not in absolute relative peak much rather it be 2016/17 version or 2022 being noticeably stronger

2020 Bron was a masterclass in pnr exposion/help D, all time facilitator and tank scorer and as is a series spread he'll mastermind it

So yeah that team wins

Don't think Laimbeer was able to get the right pairings here, resulting in a lopsided rotation with too many bigs and guards and not enough wings. 2023 Tucker and Prig is a rough reserve backcourt, and Caruso is forced into too many minutes. Dr P's team is also big-heavy on paper, but has enough positional versatility for it not to be an issue, and his depth is far superior.

Laimbeer's rotation makes my head hurt lol. I don't love Billups on the same squad as Nash and LeBron, but in general Nash+LeBron and a decent supporting cast is enough to beat Laimbeer's group.
