Here is a quick list of what you need in your writeup.
1. Specific years for each player on your team
2. Rotations and minutes for each player
3. Reasoning as to why your team will win and/or why people should vote for you.
Do not vote in this thread until both managers have submitted their writeups. Once the writeups are posted, I will add a poll, and the team with the most votes after 24 hours will win the championship. EACH MANAGER SHOULD ALSO VOTE FOR THEIR OWN TEAM IN THE POLL - IF YOU FAIL TO DO THIS, YOU ARE SIMPLY GIVING AWAY A VOTE. If the votes are tied, we will decide the matchup via AI vote.
You are not required to state or explain your vote, but you are free to comment in the thread if you want to.
If writeups aren't posted within 24 hours, we will vote solely based on the players they have drafted (and any rotations they have posted on their roster page).

Re: No Multiple All-NBA 1st Teams Draft CHAMPIONSHIP - MadNESS vs. Snakebites
PG: Mike Conley (34) | Brandon Roy (14)
SG: Dražen Petrović (38) | Brandon Roy (10)
SF: Klay Thompson (36) | Brandon Roy (12)
PF: Draymond Green (36) | Thabo Sefolosha (12)
Cc: Rudy Gobert (34) | Ben Wallace (14)

14’-15’ Klay Thompson - 16.9 FGA
16’-17’ Draymond Green - 8.6 FGA
92’-93’ Dražen Petrović - 16.2 FGA
12’-13’ Mike Conley - 11.8 FGA
08’-09’ Brandon Roy - 16.9 FGA
16’-17’ Rudy Gobert - 7.7 FGA
02’-03’ Ben Wallace - 6.0 FGA
11’-12’ Thabo Sefolosha - 3.7 FGA
Total: 87.8 | 88.0
Short and sweet so it is read!
GL Snake!
Plan to pretty much run straight up man to man on defense.
We have the defenders for Alonzo in Ben Wallace and Rudy Gobert.
Klay will start on Ray, with the ability to put Roy on him when needed. Everyone forgets how a good a defender Klay is. He always had defended the best starting guard on every team the Warriors play.
Similar to our last series, we have the best perimeter attack in this draft, with the perfect defensive bigs to shut down Alonzo.
We have 48 minutes of great play from the PG, SG, and SF slots, no role players.
Draymond is the perfect defender for Lewis (he will even get in his head).
We boast (3) 20 points scorers to Snakes (2).
I could see Snakes team having trouble scoring against my team.
Vote Ness to win it all!

I will post a writeup later. While I don’t consider this anything but an arbitrary measure, my team does boast 3 players who averaged 20 per game in the chosen season, not 2 as he claims.

Re: No Multiple All-NBA 1st Teams Draft CHAMPIONSHIP - MadNESS vs. Snakebites
PG: 2017-18 Kyle Lowry 12.1 FGA- All Star
SG: 2000-01 Ray Allen 16.0 FGA- All NBA Third
SF: 2022-23 Mikal Bridges 15.3 FGA
PF: 2008-09 Rashard Lewis 13.8 FGA- All Star
C: 1998-99 Alonzo Mourning 13.8 FGA- All NBA First, DPOY, 2nd in MVP Vote
B: 1993-94 Nate McMillain 5.4 FGA- All Defensive 2nd, 2nd in 6MOY Vote
B: 2019-20 OG Anunoby 8.2 FGA- 3 and D Swing
B: 2012-13 Chris Andersen 3.0 FGA
Rotation:
Lowry (38)/Nate (10)
Allen (38)/Nate (10)
Bridges (38)/OG (10)
Lewis (36)/OG (12)
Mourning (38)/Andersen (10)
Alrighty, lets do this.
Ness built a heck of a team which I voted for in each of the previous two rounds, so this definitely isn't a challenge to be taken lightly. That said, my team has some positives going for it that should make this one hell of a series.
1) Ray Allen is the best top option scorer in this series and the most versatile one as well, with prime Ray Allen having the ability to score anywhere on the court. He also has the ability to play the off-ball role allowing an outlet for Lowry's playmaking.
2) Alonzo Mourning is the best low-post scorer in this competition as well (and truth be told the only reliable one), and will be operating with the best spacing possible given that every other member of my starting lineup is a reliable three point shooter. He anchored some very solid offenses in Miami and his performance should if anything be enhanced by my teams' spacing, easily superior to anything he had during his actual prime, particularly with Rashard Lewis, who complements him as well as he complemented Dwight Howard in real life. Despite Robert's defense I expect Zo to have an efficient and effective series. By contrast all of Ness's 4/5 players are non-threats as scorers outside of a short distance. Dray with Ben/Rudy is terrific defensively (and an excellent fit on that end as well) but offensively it leaves a bit to be desired.
If Klay is starting on Ray I assume this means that Drazen has to take Bridges, and this version of Bridges is an effective shot creator who will create problems in that regard. One way or another, both teams will have to find places to hid our weakest defenders, but to me Ray Allen is comfortably the better defender between he and Drazen, with prime Ray being an average defender and Drazen being a poor one. Nate McMillan is an ideal cover for Brandon Roy off the bench.
Overall Ness's team is extremely talented and has a solid fit, but I think I have strengths where they're needed the most, and that Ray Allen/Zo form a complementary foundation that with the right supports should be enough to carry the day here.

AI vote only comes into effect if we're still tied when the poll is closed.
Based on the number of drafters, several people haven't voted yet.

Good game guys. Question - for the polls - would we ever think about tossing an note in the general board asking for the broader audience to also vote? we might even get a couple dozen votes if we're lucky. the downside would be knowing whether the people are voting with at least some baseline level of historical knowledge. On this website in particular, I think it might be a safe assumption.
Empathy doesn’t mean softening the truth — it means holding truth with humanity.

It was something that was suggested before and we almost did it but in the end we switched from general board to player comparison board. We did get one guy who played here for something like three games and then seemed to quit, DCasey91, but I agree we should give the general board a try. The downside relatively to player comparison board is inactive threads go down to page two rather quickly but the advantage is there is overall more traffic.

AI actually had a solid take on this…. I think we could use it more often in the future too
