Donut Draft R2 - JimmyPlopper vs Dr Positivity*

Here is a quick list of what you need in your writeup.

1. Specific years for each player on your team
2. Rotations and minutes for each player
3. Reasoning as to why your team will win and/or why people should vote for you.

Do not vote in this thread until both managers have submitted their writeups. Please ensure you give a rationale for your vote; votes with no explanation will not be counted.

If writeups aren't posted within 24 hours, we will vote solely based on the players they have drafted (and any rotations they have posted on their roster page).

We'll be using a AI vote when a matchup seems stuck, at least 24 hours since its opening. AI vote counts for a single vote.

PG: Steve Nash (2012: 9.0 FGA)
SG: Clyde Drexler (1992: 19.4 FGA)
SF: Paul George (2019: 21.0 FGA)
PF: Lebron James (2017: 18.2 FGA)
C: Tyson Chandler (2012: 5.7 FGA)

PG: Pablo Prigioni (2014: 2.9 FGA = 3.0)
SG: Manu Ginobili (2012: 8.4 FGA)
C: Marcin Gortat (2010: 2.8 FGA = 3.0)

87.7 / 88

PG: Steve Nash (36) / Pablo Prigioni (10) / Manu Ginobili (2)
SG: Clyde Drexler (18) / Manu Ginobili (30)
SF: Paul George (28) / Clyde Drexler (20)
PF: Lebron James (38) / Paul George (10)
C: Tyson Chandler (38) / Marcin Gortat (10)

GL Jimmy

Defensive matchups: Nash on White, George on Booker, Drexler on Bowen, Lebron on Malone, Chandler on Garnett

- We feel solid about our defensive matchups. Nash on 23 White is fine and Lebron at PF is cancelled out by how our team causes his double big frontcourt some problems both in the halfcourt and in transition. KG guarding a perimeter all-star would occupy his help D, Chandler is also a nice fit to guard the KG C lineup.

- We have the more talented and balanced team overall with the best player in Lebron, peak Drexler and George and two of the best sub 10 offensive players in Nash and Manu. This is a great fit for Nash as Drexler and Lebron give him athletes in transition, I also think he'll work well with Chandler.

- 2012 Manu is still great per minute and off the bench is the difference maker, he has a better 7th man but that doesn't make up for it.

Overall I believe our expensive trio of Lebron, Drexler and George is at least as effective as Malone, KG and Booker considering fit and the rest of our team after that is stronger.
It's going to be a glorious day... I feel my luck could change

Derrick White (2023) - 9.2
Devin Booker (2024) - 19.2
Bruce Bowen (2003) - 5.8
Karl Malone (1997) - 19.2
Kevin Garnett (2004) - 19.6

Kyle Korver (2010) - 5.4
Chris Andersen (2011) - 3.0
Dan Majerle (1998) - 6.1

87.5/88

Derrick White (36) / Devin Booker (12)
Devin Booker (26) / Dan Majerle (22)
Bruce Bowen (30) / Kyle Korver (18)
Karl Malone (40) / Kevin Garnett (8)
Kevin Garnett (32) / Chris Andersen (16)

I'll keep it short, but my team uses players in their prime and emphasizes balance.

Good luck Dr P

I'm not sure I consider Jimmy's writeup a writeup, but I think he struggles to contain LBJ. Clyde-George-LBJ is of similar caliber to Booker-Malone-KG, but Dr P has the best player and then another very useful version of Nash versus White, plus Manu off the bench.

Going with Dr P

Jimmy's group is very solid, just not the best equipped to guard Dr P. KG is his best cover for LeBron but that's complicated when you also need him to anchor your defense. Dr P struck gold with Nash/Manu/Chandler as <10 FGA picks.

I really like both teams. I like Dr Ps team a bit more overall.

I think Dr P got some awesome drops in the tournament with Manu and Nash and still solid first options like PG

Pretty close but Dr P got a bit of a talent advantage vote dr P

I thought we were doing draft polls again. I think it might be more efficient as the default option
