Any thoughts on expanding the pool? Have an exception perhaps? Duke alums?

If we do it, I'd at least do it "any player who player there" rather than seasons in Hawks etc. Also I'd add Duke

It's a weird and interesting pool, but my only concern would be whether the teams at the bottom would have enough to compete. Kareem and Giannis seem levels above everyone else except maybe Oscar.

Maybe no multiple MVPs, which would remove Kareem, Giannis, and Moses. Although people might not want to ban players in an already shallow draft.

Yeah, I'm just not sure the talent level is enough all in all. If we ban some players it gets worse. Maybe better to go a different direction for a draft

COuld easily add the 76ers and the Pistons as Hubie was an announcer for both those teams.

Do a draft of the 2025 NBA roster, similar to what is happening. Three independent drafts, each with three teams. At end we can rank each pod, and those three advance to a ranking for the winner. Would require nine sign ups, no more, no less.

And the starting lineup must have:
1 player who attempted more than 24+ FGA in a season
1 player who attempted more than 20+ FGA in a season
3 player who attempted 10-15 FGA in a season.

Bench can have a maximum of 15 FGA

We had the slotted draft which is similar. As flaco pointed out then, we should be really careful with the mathematics when applying FGA restrictions on all players, otherwise we might get some odd situations.

Draft Lockdown Draft. A draft year is locked down after two players are taken from it. Go back as far as we need to get just enough players. For example, 10 drafters would need 80 players, so we'd use the last 40 drafts - 1984 to 2023.

This is actually where I got the idea from the current game. We did a version of this many years ago, but it was four per draft instead of two.

We're only at the start of the 2-3 teams guys idea, but here's another one I thought of right now:

Every one of your 8 players needs to belong to a different category in terms of how many teams he played for.

Example of a valid team:

A guy who played for 1 team

A guy who played for 2 teams

A guy who played for 4 teams

A guy who played for 5 teams

A guy who played for 7 teams

A guy who played for 8 teams

A guy who played for 9 teams

A guy who played for 10 teams

Draft game idea - Alternating picks of player on chosen season championship team and team with worst record in the nba. Can be from teams from different seasons. Not picking pairs, just one at a time but stating when making pick the team and season.

Franchise Pairs by Common Theme:

Hawks & Pelicans (birds)

Timberwolves & Grizzlies (forest beasts)

Heat & Suns (fire & heat)

Magic & Wizards (fantasy & magic)

Spurs & Mavericks (cowboys & the Wild West)

Pacers & Pistons (racing & automotive)

Rockets & Clippers (fast-moving vehicles)

76ers & Nuggets (historical events)
