Here is a quick list of what you need in your writeup.
1. Specific years for each player on your team 2. Rotations and minutes for each player 3. Reasoning as to why your team will win and/or why people should vote for you.
Do not vote in this thread until both managers have submitted their writeups. Once the writeups are posted, I will add a poll, and the team with the most votes after 24 hours will advance. EACH MANAGER SHOULD ALSO VOTE FOR THEIR OWN TEAM IN THE POLL - IF YOU FAIL TO DO THIS, YOU ARE SIMPLY GIVING AWAY A VOTE. If the votes are tied, we will decide the matchup via AI vote.
You are not required to state or explain your vote, but you are free to comment in the thread if you want to.
If writeups aren't posted within 24 hours, we will vote solely based on the players they have drafted (and any rotations they have posted on their roster page).

DB has a nice team but I think mine is more well rounded and I certainly have better defense and better bench. Moncrief is probably the best defender at SG alltime, having played Jordan well, and is great against Wade. He himself scores well. Besides my bench being better, I think Buck Williams is a better matchup for Malone than Gasol is for Olajuwon. Olajuwon is the best player in this matchup and Divac is arguably as good as Gasol.

Bench: TR Dunn 86' - 4.6 Bench: Caleb Martin 23' - 7.7 Bench: Matt Bonner 13' - 3.4
Rotation: PG: Jalen Brunson 38 / Dwyane Wade 10 SG: Dwyane Wade 28 / TR Dunn 12 / Caleb Martin 8 SF: OG Anunoby 30 / Caleb Martin 18 PF: Karl Malone 38 / OG Anunoby 8 C: Marc Gasol 38 / Matt Bonner 10
87.5/88
Matchup: - Defensive assignments: Brunson vs Brooks, Anunoby vs Moncrief, Wade vs Conley, Malone vs Williams, Gasol vs Olajuwon. - I like the synergy of our two man punch Wade Malone, and I think Brunson and Gasol are the perfect 3-4 guys next to them. while Anunoby is the perfect glue guy. Apart from Brunson, who always get to guard a low-end scoring threat whether it's Brooks Ward or Strus, we've got no defensive holes, while the bench keeps up with the defensive intensity. Martin is an underutilized 3&d but perfect in his role, and in the chosen season had a huge playoff, I like his contribution to our squad quite a lot as the sixth man. - We are pretty comfortable with our assignments. Gasol can contain Hakeem as much as anyone while spacing the floor and hurting his defense. Wade-OG-Martin-Dunn is a very capable group to rotate against Conley-Moncreif. - I think we've got a comfortable advantage in terms of overall firepower, and I'm not sure Moncrief and Buck are the ideal running mates for Hakeem to maximize his offense.

ChatGPT vote durantbird - durantbird advances
Spoiler:
Seven-Game Series Breakdown
This matchup is extremely close, with both teams built on strong defense, versatile scoring, and high basketball IQ.
Team Migya (Olajuwon, Moncrief, Conley, Buck, Brooks, etc.)
Strengths:
Best Player in the Series: Hakeem Olajuwon is the most dominant force on either team, providing elite two-way impact.
Elite Defense: Moncrief is one of the best perimeter defenders in history, Buck Williams is a tough interior presence, and Olajuwon anchors the paint.
Well-Rounded Team: Conley provides steady point guard play, while Divac offers solid passing and rebounding off the bench.
Rim Protection & Rebounding: Olajuwon and Buck Williams make it difficult for opponents to score inside.
Concerns:
Offensive Limitations: Outside of Olajuwon and Moncrief, there isn’t a high-level shot creator.
Spacing Issues: Buck Williams and Dillon Brooks don’t stretch the floor much, making it easier for defenses to load up on Hakeem.
Bench Scoring: Strus and Divac are capable contributors but aren’t game-changers.
---
Team Durantbird (Wade, Malone, Brunson, Gasol, Anunoby, etc.)
Strengths:
Balanced Star Power: Wade and Malone form a high-powered duo, both capable of taking over games.
Defensive Versatility: Anunoby, Wade, and Dunn are strong defenders who can cover multiple positions.
Strong Supporting Cast: Gasol provides playmaking and floor spacing, while Brunson is a steady offensive weapon.
More Offensive Options: While Olajuwon is the best player, Wade and Malone give Durantbird two elite scorers.
Concerns:
Defending Hakeem: Gasol is a strong defender but will still have trouble containing Olajuwon one-on-one.
Brunson as a Defensive Weakness: While he won’t guard a primary scorer, he could be attacked in mismatches.
Interior Physicality: Malone is a great scorer, but Buck Williams and Olajuwon bring more toughness on the glass.
---
Final Verdict:
Durantbird wins in 7 games (4-3).
The defensive matchups are close, but Durantbird’s team has a slightly better balance between offense and defense. Wade and Malone give them two elite scoring options, whereas Migya’s team relies more heavily on Olajuwon. The ability to generate offense in different ways—through Wade’s slashing, Malone’s mid-range game, and Gasol’s playmaking—gives Durantbird a slight edge in a tightly contested series.

When the votes are tied do you use ChatGP?
I think Gasol as a passer being mentioned is overrated and Divac was better than him at that. Don't think Moncrief and Conley are being viewed properly as scorers either.

Yes, we've been doing this for a while now.
It's in the rules:
"If the votes are tied, we will decide the matchup via AI vote."
You can disagree with AI but same is true with human votes. It's effectively worth a single human vote.

Not a bad way I guess, though another is to ask the mods on the PC forum to have a sticky thread where we can post any tied matchups there and the members there could give their view. Probably a bit too tedious.
